    Those reels are pretty awesome

They sound great, I'd like to see them have heavier drag? Truly loving the gear ratio's and metal components, but please give me a 50lb drag and 300yds of 40lb braid capacity option in the "Salty" and I'd be all in!

They are very nice but I would have sale my 3 baitcasters and 1 spinning reel to make a down payment for the swim reel

yeah, i want one but i can't justify spending that much on a reel right now

@AliexFolgueira Yeah, I agree, fish don't care what reel you have. I'm into Abu Garica baitcasters and Pflueger spinning but Lews are pretty good also
Thank you for the Icast coverage

Guess they made these for the rich and famous. The fish I catch won't bite if I use a reel that cost that much. More power to you if you are willing to pay that much for a reel. I can assure you it won't cause you to catch more fish.

For the price of these they’re not worth it. My zillions and steez are on a completely different level.

The Steez is 30% heavier and also has roughly 30% less drag, has a 1 year warranty compared to a 3year warranty and costs $150 to $300 more depending on model. I am curious what is better and how much time you have spent fishing the Bates reel.

@@PhotoBob my steez has a 5 year warranty on manufactured defects as well as a 5 year service and cleaning. I don’t care about the weight it’s not noticeable enough to gripe. It’s the smoothest bait caster on earth built extremely well I have older models that still feel like they’re brand new after heavy use.

@@Daiwa_Is_KingThe Steez is nice no doubt, even my Tatula elite 100 is smooth as silk, but when I picked up the Antares DC I got a warm fuzzy feeling the Steez can't give me. I don't know much about the Bates, though it looks like a nice alternative for some anglers.
