HELP Program: hips fracture in elderly patient

In Spain, more than 47.000 people per year suffer from a hip fracture, there is 1 hip fracture every 11 minutes.
Around 1 in 4 hip fracture patients over the age of 65 die within 12 months, 50% of those who survive live with a decline in daily living activities and reduced ability to walk.
Carmen is an 82 years old woman who, unfortunately, falls and breaks her hip, a traumatic episode for her and her family, could we improve Carmen’s experience?

I do not speak Spanish but thank you for the English caption I can see the importance of needing surgery right away. My mother fell yesterday and broke her left hip she scared confused, I'm freaked out . I hope they do surgery within the 48 hour. Thank you so much for this video with the translation.
