I just purchased one and your correct about needing to open the vent and I’m 6ft 1”and I’m looking right over the windshield and it’s fine.

Yeah, every time I'm by the dealer now, I push that little button that opens the buffer to remind myself if I get one, or test ride another, that I need to do that. Enjoy your new ride, it's a beaut!

Hey man I really enjoyed this video, you actually touched on the smallest thing that every other reviewer fails to mention in about 90-95% of videos when reviewing these bikes. And that’s you mentioning your actual height and weight. That really helps. You made me want to go get on one of these puppies now.
    Nice job!

I appreciate the feedback. I always worry about covering everything I can when doing these rides, so knowing I am doing something right is encouraging. Thanks for the view!

If you push that big button to the left of the fairing you can put a stop the buffering .

The head buffering is because you left the vent closed. But that is because you didn't know. You don't own the bike. Plus you're not supposed to look through the sheilds. Over them is for unobstructed view.

GOOD VIDEO ! DOES IT HAVE REVERSE?

MICHAEL W SUDZIARSKI good question. It never came up, so I didn't think to ask. From what I can find, the '17 model had reverse, so I don't know why they would take that away. Maybe someone else can answer.

Never seen reverse on a Harley and this one certainly doesn’t.

Kudos to you for giving it a go. I remember the first time I rode a Goldwing, I was so intimidated by the size, I wouldn't even go up on the highway. And I'd been riding nearly 20 years back then. Fortunately, it didn't take long to get used to. I ended up buying it.
I think that one is probably for people a little taller with the kink in the windshield at eye level and the tippy toe stops. The price tag tells me, it's for cardiac surgeons.
If you can get a ride, I'd love to hear how you think the new GW compares:

I had to at least try one of the tourers, and why not the big dog! :)
I'd give a Goldwing a whirl, if given the chance. I always have my eye out for demo trucks, so we'll see if one make it around my neck of the woods.
