Not too low
Just hide that wheel gap and should be enough. But you might need to wait a couple of days until they settle properly.

600-800 depending on the shop. That's what the shop near me qouted.
Great vid Rider. I see you needed to bring your Dad in with the "big guns" to get the job done. Good man to help you ! The Magna Ride seems to be a common problem on the R8's. I hope you won't need to do a video on the a/c compressor. That seems to be the other common issue you run up against. Anyway, keep up the good work.

I put those same coilovers on my 997S. You can’t beat them for the price. Good job on the swap! Did you get a 4 wheel alignment afterwards?
Still have not got the 4 wheel alignment which I plan on doing the moment spring comes around :) only 1 month away baby

Nice video. Which settings are you running (front/rear)?
I have been testing them for a month on the stock settings and I found them a little bit too soft so I am adjusting 2 clicks harder on all sides
How did you end up liking them after 2 years? I feel like a car like the R8 warrants the best, ohlins, bilstein, or kw. I have seen many BC setups leak or develop clunking but I'm not sure if they put more effort into their R8/Huracan setup
Honestly I have really liked them just a little bit bouncy on the track but I had them recently adjusted and I’m picking them back up. Video on that coming soon so make sure you subscribe. No problems with any bottoming out or leaking or anything.
Did you go with Swift springs or custom spring rates? Or just the BR Series kit with no options?

It was pretty difficult but I'm glad I could help you :-) sometimes they just get stuck
A puller should be used really. It will save you all kinds of effort.

What are the torque settings for the coilover bolts?
Nothing bad there. Is that Portugese or Italiano family?

So what are the pros and cons of removing the mag ride system?
That's a loaded question 🙂 I have some videos on the differences and the reason why I went with BC Racing for example I suggest you watch. At a high level a huge negative of the OEM magride suspension is that they all fail at some point and that is such a big con

So with bc racing coilovers you can still keep your magnetic ride?
You put in a delete module that tricks the computer to think you still have them.

Early indications are very good I'm going to be doing a full video once I put more kilometers on the car. I would say very comparable to the magnetic ride

Yes that should be possible from stock 👍
@@carswithsonduren So you can adjust how much you want it to drop? You can install these and still run stock height or drop it 10 or 20mm if you want?
Reason I am asking is because i live in Norway and the roads are not very good. My main concerns are speed bumps and drive troughs.

Hi yes you can install and ride on stock height or drop it to the specifications you have mentioned. No worries you should have no problems with the set :-)

Hey dose your Audi have the front shock mount rebuild? Someone else on RUclips rebuild one that was sold at auction and it had the frame cracked where the sock mounts. Maybe a preventative maintenance for that beauty!
No the shock mount was never rebuilt as it was fine when we inspected. I'll be doing a video soon on how to check for frame damage and inspection :)
