Ahh, it's refreshing to see somebody else brought here by nostalgia instead of a commercial or pandora. No gatekeeping, just nice to hear a story of the music appreciated during its time. Not all of the music has aged greatly, but DAMN WE HAD FUN.
I heard you play this live back in the 2000's. You were still Sneakers to Bombs back then. I still have the poster. It was at the University of MN, Duluth. It's always been one of my favorite songs and your cover is the best.
I absolutely love this cover!! I have fast become a massive Quietdrive Fan! Thank heavens for the net, without which I would never have discovered them. Most record companies are so useless. I'm a South African resident.
The song is wonderful, this version is fantastic, Iove this band expanding so big volumes of good strong vibrations,,, coming directly to my heart thanks for the fantastic sharing!! Eder
Pandora sent me here. There needs to be a replay button on that thing... :p that actual recording they have is better then live to me but I like watching the performers :]
american idol? really? these guys deserve better than recognition from american idol -.- how about a thumbs up if you were with them since 2004.. minnesotan all the wayyy :)
I agree that most of the winners of those shows never really do anything, however if you look at Chris Daughtry, a non-winner, he has made a very successful career from it. Also, this band has got a lot more views/sales just by someone from American Idol mentioning their name. I personally don't really like AI, but it did really help this group.
@plasticspoonchewer The reason why everyone knows that this is better than the original is because, unlike Cyndi Lauper's original, Quietdrive's version holds much more emotion. That, and it isn't as lengthy, which tends to stay with the audience more. While one can make the argument that their style is more modern yeah fine, w/e. But the fans are right when it comes to these things. Majority rules; kudos to Cyndi Lauper for writing this, but Quietdrive owned this song and made it their bitch.
@carcaril If you wanna know, Cyndi Lauper actually praised Quietdrive for their covering, actually saying they'd perfected her song, lame and poor? I don't think so
The best cover of this song. Thank you, Quietdrive!
Matchbox 20, Australia, 1998
They sing it like its their own! LOVE IT!
Crazy to think how much has changed I music...this era will never die

This is most definitely the BEST cover of a song I've ever heard. Usually they suck, but this is even better than the original, in my opinion.
The hometown heroes!!
Ahh, it's refreshing to see somebody else brought here by nostalgia instead of a commercial or pandora. No gatekeeping, just nice to hear a story of the music appreciated during its time. Not all of the music has aged greatly, but DAMN WE HAD FUN.
it's been two years, are you still an emo pop punk junkie?
I heard you play this live back in the 2000's. You were still Sneakers to Bombs back then. I still have the poster. It was at the University of MN, Duluth. It's always been one of my favorite songs and your cover is the best.

How hot is it with those spotlights when you're on stage anyway?
I don't care what anybody says, they did this better than Cyndi.

Shit, they're a great live band!
I heard the original song (Time After Time) at Season 2 EP 9 Stranger Things
You can thank Colton Dixon for bringing a ton of people here on American Idol.
