Sirenia has never had a real bassist. Their guitarist, Morten, plays bass on the albums and then they play back the bass live. They had a touring bassist in 2008 but that's it. The only studio members of the band are Morten and Ailyn as well, the other members, Jonathan and Jan Erik only play with them live. I also think Morten does all the writing himself, both lyrics and music
On top of that, Morten is also a talented multi instrumentalist, playing not only guitar and bass but also synth, mandolin, harmonica, flute and he even sings
It is strange… symphonic rocks needs often playbacks of for ex strings and keyboards. But you see rarely a band without a bassist on stage, and this music requires a real bassist. So far the words of a bassist….

Corais e orquestras são substituídos frequentemente por samples para baratear a produção e consequentemente os ingressos. Bandas do tamanho do Sirenia não são tão ricas para pagar os caras sem encarecer os ingressos ou não tem AQUEEEELE público para cobrar uma fortuna por eles (tipo o Metallica). Agora em relação ao contrabaixista realmente tá feio... hahahaha!
