That kid wouldn't tap! I love the part where Keenan said "he's made of rubber" lol. The green belt is my son Matthew. I love him to death. It was an awesome seminar for sure, he had a great time.

I think the scariest thing about fighting him would be the non-stop smile as he's destroys you.

Tapping game colored belts with no gas in the tank is no joke. He was truly gassed at various points, and in some bad positions because of it. Still gutted out escapes and taps. Those wrist locks help save energy though, like the gi version of heel hooks.
Cameraman near the end was like... Ok, OG has been murdering our squad for almost an hour with no rest breaks. Shits embarrassing & I got places to be.

I find it such a rude habit that in some/ a lot of BJJ gyms beginners dont roll with advanced people. I am coming from Judo and it is the exact opposite here. Whitebelts are encouraged to do randori with higher belts. It's also the case witth wrestlers I heard... so why BJJ?
@@alLEDP I can only speak for our gym (BJJ), but I have been rolling with the higher belts from the beginning.
@@alLEDP The expectation is for a lower belt to be asked by a higher belt, particularly the black and brown belts since their time is more valuable than yours.
They probably paid full price for the seminar too.

Reminds me of the time in 2012 when Donald cerrone came to my gym and sparred with like 30 of us one after another no breaks. He was double shin guarded up and taking it fairly easy on us just destroying our legs lmao he was a lot of fun.

He’s tired. There’s no way the blue belt is trucking through his guard retention with the lapel. He definitely needed to slow things down and regain the tempo haha

Any advice on bringing BJJ to a rural community as a blue belt? I've been thinking about starting a little private club/gym for fun and recreation, but we wouldn't really have a higher-belt instructor. I know some people are such elitists that they would frown on this. But we have nothing to do out here.

Go for it. There's a lot that can be taught from a blue belt. As long as you don't pretend to be a different belt, its all good. Jocko's first BJJ instruction was from a whitebelt

If you never tried jiu jitsu, you simply cannot imagine how rolling with Keenan must feel like. Jiu Jitsu is not like stand-up martial arts...
I did a bit of Karate before... Even against higher belts(not talking white belt vs black belt here... I'm talking one or two belts above you), you can kinda do something... you can usually manage to hit them a few time, defend yourself pretty well... They get the upper hand of course, but you can do SOMETHING. You can at least turn around and run away from the fight!
In jiu jitsu, once the fight is started and you are on the ground, you are trapped there. The technical advantage you gain over time is insanely high... Even a more experienced white belt will turn a newcomer into his bitch... and as a white belt, I can totally assure you that most blue belts can turn ME into their bitch... This goes on until the black beltch.
With this said... You have to understand that Keenan would turn 10 of your average black belts in a row into his own little Harem. Now... Imagine Keenan vs a newcomer. There is no words to express how insane the difference is. This would be like Son Goku fighting a newborn toddler...
