right! I did my install in 5 minutes thanks to this vid and been using it daily. One thing I realized quickly is I will probably never have a reason to remove the battery from the amp. I just charge it attached.
The Spark Amp is so Amazing, some people say the sounds to dark, but that is not true, you have a 3 band Eq! You can dail in any tone you want! And the low end of the Amp is the beauty of the amp, it’s full range and full fill the whole room! In my room I have on less volume unbelievable rich power!!! That is what I like very well….this amp blows me away!

I was really put off by the price that Spark was asking so I looked for alternatives and really couldn't find anything for a reasonable price. This is such an elegant solution , Subbed, thank you.
I was just converting all my headphones for computer and TV to blutooth and was thinking of a transmitter for the Spark 40, it has blutooth already can you mate it up with the cellphone app and a pair of headphones? what do you think?

Hey just wanted to say thanks I did this upgrade and it works like a charm. Did a few tests and dont seem to lose any power/volume or anything. Battery lasts a long time. I also have the wireless control stomp box which is very helpful and battery powered! First day out busking paid for the battery so was a great investment. I was able to find the same battery although I think they only had like 2 left in stock and that was a few days ago. I will tip you soon since I couldn't use an affiliate link or anything.

I wanted to add some info and check if you have had the same experience. I used my amp until it ran out of juice to get an idea of how much time I truly get. I also estimated it would be six hours. However upon testing I discovered the battery lights are not accurate test on time for this device. When I get down to two bars you start to get low power issues. I did get MANY hours. This is still the proper battery I think for the job. But I think people will find its closer to 4 hours if your playing and streaming backing tracks. The first thing I lost was my Bluetooth connection and things get really buggy with typical low power issues once that starts. It may just be my battery so I would be curious if you have ran your battery down yet and what your experience was? I was playing fairly loud and got a good solid 4 hours which is plenty for me. I think the battery still has juice at two bars just not enough to run the amp. This also made recharge faster.
@@guitary it's so rare that I run the battery down all the way to properly test but easily get 4 hours. And 6 may be very possible. I have done many 3 + hours sessions at near full volume without issue.
At six recharges my Talentcel would only charge up to 50%. I suspect these magnets are strong enough to damage the battery medium. Suggest to use Velcro instead.
The problem with Velcro is that it often tears from the surface it’s stuck to. I work with magnets and batteries quite a bit and have yet to see it affect it. I would contact the Talentcel people to see if they have a warranty, and / or Amazon of it hasn’t been more than 30 days. They’re pretty good about that type of thing. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻

That’s going to depend on your usage. Using it outside in the heat or cold? That will shorten it. Using it non-stop for a couple hours? That may shorten it. Typically it should give you about 3-4 hours. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
There are a few factors that will determine that. The ambient temperature, because batteries react to heat and cold, the amount of time that you play continuously, and the amount of processing that the particular effects that you’re using require. In general, you get at least three hours of charge with this battery
As with any battery operated item that depends on a few factors. Are you using it outside in extreme cold or heat? Both of those will reduce your battery life. Are you using it in one sitting constantly for hours on end? That will also reduce the battery life. Are you cranking it to full volume? Also, will likely reduce the battery life. For me, in general, use, playing for about an hour at a time, I can get about 3 to 4 sessions out of it. Hope that helps.

Hey Tony, how you doing? I've seen this video a couple of months back and I came back to it now to ask for your help. I have the Boss Katana Mini (amp) and the Boss GT-1 (multi-pedal) that I like taking to the beach with me quite often. In total they take 10 AA batteries to operate (6 for the amp and 4 for the multi). It's very useful and it has all my tones and I plug my phone into the aux of the amp to play along songs. Anyway, I was wondering if there is a Power Bank that I can buy that can power both the amp and the multi for about 3-5 hours of use at a time. instead of buying batteries all the time or buying rechargeable batteries. Thanks and would like to hear from you!
You know what I would look at for those purposes? I would check out a "power station" (also called a solar generator sometimes). I have a few of them here on the channel. Like the Bluetti or Rockpals. They'll power everything you have, and as an added bonus, you can buy a solar panel for around $100-200 and never loose power at the beach! @@rayana4250 yea, that should work well. Keep in mind that most power banks dont have fans in them, and being on a hit beach on direct sunlight will not only decrease the watt hours but may damage the batteries. You will wanna keep that in the shade.

Don’t use magnets. Your battery is too heavy. It will fall off using magnets, unless you supplement the installation with some sort of bracket to keep it from dropping and or falling to the sides. I tried large, very powerful Almaco magnets stronger than these, and the metal plates are too slick, as is the surface of the magnets.. These magnets are just fine for mounting a light mobile phone. Not a heavy lithium battery. Sooner or later your battery is going to go skidding across the sidewalk when you’re swinging your Spark amp . Pick another method. I recommend 3M extreme snap locks. They work just like Velcro, but they’re made with tiny little plastic mushrooms that interlock. They look good on the unit. Your battery will never fall off and it’s easy to remove for charging by the black snap locks for the black spark, the clear for the pearl spark. The pack costs five dollars. It’s cheaper than the magnets. It’s literally impossible for the battery not to fall off with magnets no matter how strong they are. I have perfect alnico magnets, and in testing, swinging the spark back-and-forth. It always fell off within two minutes.

Lol Such a great feeling when you can do what you can imagine with a piece of equipment even though the manufacturers seem to go out of their way to make it impossible. Sorry to give you bad news, but here it goes. The Battery Pack will die if you don't use it at least once a month! This is what the manufacturer told me. I bought one February 2021 but I didn't use it very often. When I tried to charge it, almost a year from the purchase date, it didn't charge. Since you made this video about a year ago, I want to know how the battery pack is working for you. Thanks for your video.
Are use a lot of products that have lithium batteries in them, so I’m very familiar with upkeep of them. And yes, if you’re going to store it for long periods of time without using it, you need to start at around 60% capacity. If you leave it sitting for four months, five months without charging it, the batteries will get unbalanced and you will have that issue. Mine is still working fine.

But that is getting far more sparse, and generic. I suppose I should just let the channel die when we have nothing to review? If you are that much of a..well, if you really feel that way, so be it. I'm ok with you leaving. I've given years of my life to this community, spent untold dollars doing this, and have worked very hard to build this channel. Depends on a few factors. Is it very hot, or very cold? Are you playing it for 2 hours straight? That type of thing. Typically I get about 2 1/2 hours if I'm playing it straight through, and ambient temps are normal inside temps. Hope that helps!

Anyway, I was wondering if there is a Power Bank that I can buy that can power both the amp and the multi for about 3-5 hours of use at a time. instead of buying batteries all the time or buying rechargeable batteries.

You know what I would look at for those purposes? I would check out a "power station" (also called a solar generator sometimes). I have a few of them here on the channel. Like the Bluetti or Rockpals. They'll power everything you have, and as an added bonus, you can buy a solar panel for around $100-200 and never loose power at the beach! The power station is too big/bulky for me abs the price is way more than I'm willing to pay (even tho it offers more options than a power bank but still). @@rayana4250 yea, that should work well. Keep in mind that most power banks dont have fans in them, and being on a hit beach on direct sunlight will not only decrease the watt hours but may damage the batteries. You will wanna keep that in the shade.

For this particular battery you’d probably get at least 3, maybe 4 days in that scenario

Don’t use magnets. Your battery is too heavy. It will fall off using magnets, unless you supplement the installation with some sort of bracket to keep it from dropping and or falling to the sides. I tried large, very powerful Almaco magnets stronger than these, and the metal plates are too slick, as is the surface of the magnets.. These magnets are just fine for mounting a light mobile phone. Not a heavy lithium battery. Sooner or later your battery is going to go skidding across the sidewalk when you’re swinging your Spark amp . Pick another method. I recommend 3M extreme snap locks. They work just like Velcro, but they’re made with tiny little plastic mushrooms that interlock. They look good on the unit. Your battery will never fall off and it’s easy to remove for charging by the black snap locks for the black spark, the clear for the pearl spark. The pack costs five dollars. It’s cheaper than the magnets. It’s literally impossible for the battery not to fall off with magnets no matter how strong they are. I have perfect alnico magnets, and in testing, swinging the spark back-and-forth. It always fell off within two minutes.

Sorry to give you bad news, but here it goes. The Battery Pack will die if you don't use it at least once a month! This is what the manufacturer told me. I bought one February 2021 but I didn't use it very often. When I tried to charge it, almost a year from the purchase date, it didn't charge. Since you made this video about a year ago, I want to know how the battery pack is working for you. Thanks for your video.
Are use a lot of products that have lithium batteries in them, so I’m very familiar with upkeep of them. And yes, if you’re going to store it for long periods of time without using it, you need to start at around 60% capacity. If you leave it sitting for four months, five months without charging it, the batteries will get unbalanced and you will have that issue. Mine is still working fine.

That's not a vape. Perhaps you should start a different channel for this stuff Tony instead of piggybacking on the vape channel cuz I sub for vape content not Tony's side projects that have nothing to do with quitting cigarettes or vapin. Depends on a few factors. Is it very hot, or very cold? Are you playing it for 2 hours straight? That type of thing. Typically I get about 2 1/2 hours if I'm playing it straight through, and ambient temps are normal inside temps. Hope that helps!
