Your video style reminds me a lot of subjectively lol...I really appreciate you adding the pen type, because that’s what is keeping back my Fakemon I make in procreate, I wish you the best and am looking forward to seeing future art of yours!
@@Mattno.777 I see his 'character' more like a Fakesona (aka a Fakemon Pokesona) and I like seeing people use this kinda thing as their character, considering that (at least for me) I don't see the 'Fakesona' trend very often
03:03 dude I'm an Indonesian and this brings back memories. I forgot they existed. Those were late 90's/early 2000s stamps i used to have a lot of them. Nice video btw
3:25 I once came up with a Fakemon based on a babirusa. It was a fire and ground type that liked rolling around, not only in mud, but hot sandpits and lava, too. I called it “Lavarusa”. Cringe name, I know. 😅 Design wise, it was a little too generic to even look like an actual Pokémon... may have to redesign it one of these days.
I mostly draw my fakemon on paper, mostly just because I like it more than using a mouse. You have a much higher degree of control and all you need is to take a quality picture of the image on your paper to get it on your computer.
I really suck at drawing on paper but i still prefer it due to the fact that you don't need 1 million different controls and my only complaint is that erasers suck
I got a Fakemon idea when i was sleeping. Not sure what exactly it is but it's kinda like a triceratops but with a head that's similar to that of masks you would see in Hollow Knight, specifically Hornet's and, well, the Hollow Knight's. It would have scales and stand on four dragon legs, along with having a dragon like tail. I think it would be either a dragon-ground type or maybe dragon-steel but im not sure. Maybe a fakemon with three typings? Idk. Edit: I've just made a playlist that's public so I can store this and other tutorial videos on how to draw certain things.
Thank you so much I made my first fakemon for my New England based region, it’s a New England cotton tail and the grass type starter, using a school computer but saving up for drawing tablet. Tysm now I have all sorts of ideas for fakemon than you.
I love this video! You talked about a contest, was there a video on the contest where we can see all the contestants? Your ground type was so cool that I really want to see the others too! And I love your grass dolphin idea! I recently started to test out unorthodox/weird type to animal fakemon, and I think its going pretty well lol
this id helped me design a pokemon based on a hybrid i made called a Raccubus (its a raccooon incubus/sucubus) ad it even helped me dd more info to the species itself outside of it being a pokemon so thanks for the info
I'll try a Dachshund/wiener pokemon since my region is based on Germany mostly. A Dachshund is a breed of dog known to be used in Germany to hunt and potentially kill animals as big as badgers, hence its name, Dachs(German for badger)+ hund(hound=dog). This breed likes to dig holes and when hunting can chase its prey deep into its lair, meaning that moles, rabbits, foxes, skunks, and even badgers aren't safe in their lairs. As for the typing, it would be fitting a dark/ground pokemon, where the dark type comes from the Dachshund's predatory instinct and the ground type from its liking to dig.
You got me to think of how I would adapt a warthog Pokemon. I wanna make a Fire type warthog for what'd fit a potential Horn of Africa region. I could combine it with the concept of a flying pigs, referencing the "when pigs fly" statement. It'd be Fire/Fairy type of fortune and magic, though with the ability to learn Magnet Rise at reaching its final form and Levitate as a Hidden Ability.
First thank you for your tutorial it really helped and second it was kind of funny when you were struggling to say majapahit since im indonesian it kinda easy to say lol
How do your get your lines so straight and perfect curves? Is it like a ruler or do you just have a steady hand? I don’t and I find it rather frustrating trying to do line art while being so shakey
For me it's reiitively simple. One example for a name is Tenlet, a fire snake for my Texas based region. It's name comes from tenuous (I don't think I spelled that right), which is a small fire, and the 'let' of its name comes from snakelet, a baby snake. So, just get 2 or more words that fit with the Pokemon and put them together in different ways until it sounds like a name.
I’m gonna make thanos slowbro Because thanos has a gauntlet and infinity stones so … Infinity stone = evolution stone example: water stone grass stone etcetera Gauntlet = shellder

Apparently, it call also mean bland and boring. It's not causing harm, but it's boring
