The club needs to come out and confirm that Isak is not up for sale this summer. Save us all this media circus as other clubs will think they can come in with undervalued bids. I have a theory on the isak to Chelsea story - Chelsea know they won't sell enough to meet ffp, so they are preparing to take the points hit and hope players like isak will help earn points they otherwise wouldn't have got. It's risky but less face it. Isak could get most teams in the Premier league several wins with his goals and alround play.
We're a couple of players short of having a magnificent first eleven. There are some players that we just can't sell for any amount of cash, otherwise it's a serious backwards step, and Isak is one of them. Even if we had a £billion to spend, we couldn't buy anyone else like him.

Every player has a price. Unfortunately he could be swayed away. We all don’t want that BUT the brighter side is that we can spend bigger. I wouldn’t say it would be lack of ambition but more room to find a replacement and invest in the attacking side of the ball. But highly doubtful it would happen. Fingers crossed.
I'm resigned to losing Minteh this week to meet PSR, at least losing him will keep our big players like Isak and Bruno, Chelsea have no chance of getting Isak unless they stump up 200m.
I had a nightmare that we sold Isak & replaced him with Calvert-Lewin.....
I wouldn't be surprised if this was all down to Isak's agent to get him a better contract, Chelsea were one of the teams reported that had to sell to meet PSR deadline, something fishy going on here.

Chelsea is a big club I think it would fit isak to go to there.
If we sell Isak we might as well pack up and go home, last summers window was underwhelming, links so far in this window have also been underwhelming. We need to start making some statement signings just as a show of intent, we dont want to sleep walk into being an "also ran".

Thankfully, Isak isn't that kind of player thats tempted by the London lifestyle, and seems very down to earth (feels like he enjoys being at Newcastle with it being a coastal city very much like Sweden being a coastal country)

If they offer madueke and one of their highly touted academy prospects with say 100m. 100m amortized is 3x the value in spending power and we add player depth and can add more value to the team in multiple positions.

in a years time isak may be worth even more. if he ends up being top scorer etc with gordon and a suitable right winger who is assist focused and capable of making a huge impact, like mbeumbo, olise, bowen etc...
