@Boony Tooty A country might be very well organized for itself, including for its own disabled people, but if that were at the expense of maiming people, including children, in other parts of the world that wouldn't be acceptable. Everyday there are children losing limbs by still in place mines in ex war zones.

Just Capitalism at its finest. History repeats itself. 1940 US market boom resulted in low homelessness rate but decades after we can see the effects of the unstable economic cycle and wealth distribution to the people. If not because of the world war which the US greatly benefitted from it as it is mostly selling arms to the Germany, It would certainly be its demise. The same thing is happening to China nowadays. Socialism like North Korea doesn't have this problem.

Nice try. The korean peninsula was divided by both the US and the Soviet Union. The Soviet union also invested in the north and even sponsored the north Korean invasion of the south. In fact in the early years the north Korean economy was better than the south but like every other commie state, they stagnated and turned into sh*t. Meanwhile south Korea really started to develop in the 60s and know they are one of the wealthiest countries on the world. Meanwhile North Korea is one of the poorest and is so isolated at this point that even China hates them.

I was drawn to NK issues by Yeonmi Park, apparently, it is hard to imagine after watching all this that all Yeonmi account about the country is objective. nevertheless, she defected like more than a decade ago. I'd still stick to the belief that what is being shown to the tourists are not the reality of NK people, just by the fact that the tourists are not permitted to walk around without accompany. if I were there, I would certainly dig deeper into certain questions, of course behind the scene, as the questions solicited are detailed but too superficial.
