I'm surprised at how different the first 3 versions are. They are taken differently with different instruments but they still sound the same. It's very epic. An example of what I mean Classic: 1:53 PC version of the classic: 0:35 Second game: 3:04
For all those going on about the theme not being in the remake the reason it is not in the game is because there is supposedly some legal issues that they are trying to work out, so there's some hope that the song will appear in the future
I can see why Curien made this masterpiece. The Magician is one of the greatest boss in the series. No matter how many times he is defeated, he will come back. All of his themes really shows

The first time I ever fought the Magician was when House of the Dead 1 first appeared in arcades. I was 13, and it was the first screen-shooting game I'd ever experienced that A. had responsive 3d graphics that made things feel very real at the time and B. required WAY MORE than one shot to kill the monsters (compare Area 51, etc). Because of this, my first many, many, MANY times playing House of the Dead I was utterly, UTTERLY destroyed it. I slogged through it though - terrified, cowed, struggling, desperate (and loaded with too many quarters) - through every bullshit jumpscare zombie, through every heavy zombie that took a hundred bullets to bring down, through every boss. Until I got to the Magician. A being that was very, very clearly meant to be the very final encounter, the end to my suffering, the creature that killed Curien aka the one I held responsible for these zombies and thus this plague on my little gamer brain. We get out to that balcony - I was still on edge, still scared, still feeling out of my league attempting to fight through this horrible mansion and its lab full of horrible zombies, and now this. And as I start shooting, this goddamn music starts playing. It felt like the end. "It all leads up to this." Its the music of one final, incredible struggle .... one that if you can just get through, then all of this - the pain, the suffering, the fear, the hardship - can all be over. You just have. To. Win. There's no feeling quite like it.
I came back here after playing HOTD Remake. I'm sorry to say HOTD Remake magician theme was a huge letdown. Even the fight was sluggish and lacks impact than the original. Still, it is nice to see the original HOTD in a modern graphics

I love the old soundtrack than the 4 because the old soundtrack is made by an orchestra. And 4 is made by a MIDI version. But 4's still lit
The first two themes are orchestral while 4 is EDM (like Tiesto, Marshmello, Alex Christensen or Jasper Forks, Killer Clowns, Mashd N Kutcher)
