Had many requests about doing some Fecal Matter, so finally here is the first of hopefully a few of the tracks from Illiteracy will prevail. I’m pretty sure Kurt played this in drop D tuning as it’s the only thing that make sense regarding the riffs. I obviously improvised the solo, but that’s what you are supposed to do when you play grunge.
Another great video, u can do more Fecal Matter songs(and Love Buzz,Gallons Of Rubbing Alcohol Flow Through The Strip)Thanks Tom, u're the best(and where did u bought nirvana long sleeve tshirt with seahorses from Serve the Servants acoustic vídeo?)
I was Messing around with GarageBand and I put the input level for audio recording at max level and put a mic right against the speakers in my amp. High gain, distortion (of course), turned the amp volume pretty high, and play high notes in the b and e string. It sounded EXACTLY like the ear piercing tone Kurt used at the beginning of “Buffy’s pregnant” and punk rocker and for solos
It was suicide. Everybody was just waiting for it to happen really. He couldn't cope with the pressure of being a world famous rock star, a dad and a junkie at the same time.. And let's be honest - who could..
I’m pretty sure he used his Univox - Hi Flyer (Phase 3, that was covered in stickers) that unknown xplorer was destroyed, but it was used in the organised confusion tape (1982)
Hey tom , i was wondering after seeing how many nirvana songs you have covered( amazingly at that) i was wondering about what started your love of the band and their music ?
Well, it's kind of a long story, but it basically goes like this. I was 17 when Nevermind was released and I was into all kind of music, but mostly different kinds punk band and metal bands. But I had that feeling that I never really found the one band that I could relate to both musically but also with regards to lyrics. Well anyways, I remember visiting a friend of mine and the Teen Spirit video was playing on MTV, and it just blew my mind. It was just this perfect moment were everything I was looking for was right in front of me. I just ran to the record store and bought a copy of Nevermind and Bleach and the rest is history. I never looked back. Nirvana is the one band that I will never grow tired of listening to or playing their songs on my guitar. I also had a similar upbringing as Kurt did too, small town, never found my place, difficult situation at home, school was boring, kind of hyper, experimented with drugs and alcohol, very sensitive but though on the outside, and in general my attitude was fuck society. So I guess that's why his music really spoke to me.
Tomnedreb thank you for replying to my question , i also feel that nirvana is the one band that i will never grow tired of listening to , i think that thats one of the amazing things about kurts music is that it brings people who had hard lives while growing up together , it speaks to the youth i guess , although im only young and ive only been really into their music for about three years now its kinda the same scenario as you had where i was looking for something that i couldnt put my finger on haha the sound and attitude has inspired me to pick up the guitar and write my own music and start a band , i feel that if kurts music hadnt been published when it did alot more bad things would have happened to young people who were struggling to find there place in their world , if you know what i mean . I feel very passionately towards their music and i love people who share the same enthusiasm as i do about them , which is why ilove watching your covers so much hahah , thanks for taking the time to reply , keep up the amazing covers😁👍🏻

What is your opinion on Kurt Cobain’s death do you believe it was a suicide or a something else?
It was suicide. Everybody was just waiting for it to happen really. He couldn't cope with the pressure of being a world famous rock star, a dad and a junkie at the same time.. And let's be honest - who could..
Nice! First cover not my nirvana or Kurt Cobain! What other artists have you considered covering?
This is Kurt Cobain.
Its Kurt, dude..
Tomnedreb yeah but what I mean is not originally by those two
Sergio Balaguera I know, but I was referring to Kurt’s solo work
this is great bro can u post the tab
please do bambi slaughter
For fecal matter kurt used a strange explorer guitar and a univox fuzz pedal
I’m pretty sure he used his Univox - Hi Flyer (Phase 3, that was covered in stickers) that unknown xplorer was destroyed, but it was used in the organised confusion tape (1982)
Jayden Vandersluys yeah I’ve seen that guitar a lot during nirvanas/fecal matters oldest performances
Jack Thomson yeah, he destroyed it in 1988 at 10/30/88 at a House Party.
Jayden Vandersluys I see thanks for telling me
Never heard this song before. Is it a recent release? I've heard the other Fecal Matter songs years ago, though.
No, this is one of the songs from Illiteracy will prevail.
@@Tomnedreb That's weird, because I've never heard it before. I thought it might have been something unreleased.
You should cover Bambi Slaughter off the demo next!
