- Loser Like Me is an original song featured in Original Song, the sixteenth episode of Season Two. It is sung by the New Directions with solos from Brittany, Finn, Mercedes, Rachel, and Santana.
The title of the song is a collaboration of words that the New Directions said during a brainstorm session, when talking about the bad things Sue has done to them recently and how it made them feel, such as throwing sticks at Mercedes' head, filling Brittany and Santana's lockers with dirt, and asking to get Tina's name changed to "Tina Cohen-Loser" by pretending to be her. Using these words, Will created the title 'Loser Like Me.' The song is about the members of the New Directions, and how they have been bullied and treated like outcasts, but how they are using these experiences to rise above the others.
The performance ends with the New Directions throwing red confetti slushies at the crowd, a parody of how they are often slushied. This is one of the two winning original songs, the other being Get It Right (a Rachel solo). Loser Like Me is sometimes known as the "Glee Theme Song" as it describes New Directions as losers and underdogs and what Glee Club and performing is seen as at McKinley.

I'm sad about Kurt not being in McKinley to sing this song with New Directions... This song represents everyone in the glee club so well, but specially the initial squad (Rachel, Mercedes, Kurt, Tina, Artie and Finn), i wish he was there and the main singers were them
There was a shoutout to Kurt in the song though. They talked about being shoved into lockers. That was one of the things Kurt struggled with the most with the bullying that made him transfer. Being shoved into the lockers, every day, for weeks and weeks. So at least there's a part that puts him there in spirit, even if he couldn't be on the stage to sing that verse.

I love how the main person you hear in the majority of the song is Rachel lmao. Even with a song like this, about feeling like a loser, which everyone should have a part in...you really only hear her. Everyone in that Glee club was truly back up. Not enough of them had their time to shine
Good Lord, give it a rest. Glee "fans" whinning" about Rachel not sharing the leads. First of all, Glee was written as Finn and Rachel being the stars. 2nd, I could clearly hear Finn's voice. AND Lea has a strong Broadway voice so it will stand out and she does have the lead in this song.

This was Glee at its peak. This, Sing, and Rolling in the Deep were my favorite songs done in this season. This was season 2. Glee was a great show, and in performances like this we can feel and hear their passion. That’s sadly rare with preformers.

One of my absolute favorite performances. They joy in which they sang this song, just embracing everything everyone hates them for and loving themselves for it. A bunch of "losers" showing the world why they are winning.
As a side note, I love watching Heather in the background when she performs. You can literally tell when she's feeling it because she brings such an energy. Sometimes she's hitting those moves so hard you just have to smile. Love her.

This was literally me and my friends anthem when we were in high school. We were all from different cliques and a bunch of weirdos in the best way possible but we felt like losers but we didn’t want to be popular so having a song like this made us feel good about being losers
