I've just worked out why, after years of puzzlement, why we get horrific male growling/ grunting in Metal. It just came to me in a flash. It's So these gorgeous female Metal Front vocalists sound and look even more beautiful. It's a kinda musical (and visual) 'foil' - a 'Punch' to Elize's 'Judy'. What a genius I am!
almost perfect performance by Elyze. Almost didn't sing out of tune (I've seen many old performances where she did), and some drive vocals added. She had some problems on live performances and I'm glad that they are in the past now. Nils is very good, of course. No doubt.
that is because before 2019 they didn't have professionals doing all the back stage work for them, so they had to make all those decisions themselves, which then led to problems with mics, sounds, etc.
I get the feeling that Elise is uncomfortable in this outfit. I know she picks them out herself, but for some reason I just feel like she’s more comfortable covered up a bit more

@@Closminding For me, inappropriate= wrong outfit for the wrong time. I really don't see it as inappropriate (If you look for her live videos, she appeared to be wearing as revealing outfits as this one, if she's uncomfortable then there's always a next time for her but she continues wearing them. You mention inappropriate outfits in the track record, she's wearing almost the same style of outfits in the MVs so you can say it's the style she likes, it's possible she's trying to make live concerts as good as in the MVs. And it really does create the atmosphere so I'd say she succeeds. And why did you bring genders up in the conversation without knowing my gender though? Cuz I'm sure I'm not a man. And even though her outfits are considered inappropriate by many people, from the reasons I typed above, she doesn't have the reason to get uncomfortable(plus her actions in the video suggest otherwise)
She is great live! I am always sceptic when it comes to Olof after I heard him live once and he played a solo and he was so off key that it hurt the ears.
It's a vocal harmony. And the usage is pretty much normal and fine. You cannot expect someone to sing two different pitches of their own voice at the very same time. So she sings one pitch and her backing track sings the other.

If you look carefully, you can see the zipper on the side is not all the way up and she is trying to fix it. This happened to Floor at Wacken as well.
Hahaha - she has a track record with inappropriate outfits doesn't she? Some real shockers - but her voice more than makes up for it

Their music is awesome but I think their guitarist is a little nervous, at least that's what it sounded like.
