boxes were so much fun, adding a real charm to the game. Somes things are better, like the fact that youc an chosse which brawler to choose, but i think they could do better, with keeping the boxes, per example you can unlock a new mythic brawler, and not choosing the ones, it's a mythic boxes that you receving
It's people like you who caused brawl pass rewards to be nerfed by 75%. I would take guaranteed linear progression over dopamine boxes any day.

My dad got the game 7 days after global release and I immediately got hooked onto the game with just how different and unique it was. I was around 10 years old. I started grinding through the game, eventually getting hooked onto trickshots and got involved in the community. I met so many great friends during that time. Eventually I got bored of that, took a break, and started trophy pushing and playing with my irl friends more. I started pushing r30s and actually got 1 r35 which was eve. I got her to top 1 in the US. Overall I was having a blast playing with my friends, staying up to 1:00 having talks while in mm for pushes. Eventually though, I got bored and I just moved to other games. The new brawlers also felt so weird and complex to me. Like a brawler that can literally respawn with a hotdog and another that can swirl you into your own dimension? Like really 😭. The only time I really have fun is playing with my irl friends since it’s fun seeing how shit they are. Anyways this game has had its up and downs for me but it was a really big impact for me overall through a good portion of my life. Great video also. You earned a sub.
I once reach top global with 8 bit and his "DOUG super" gadget back in the 2020. Maybe i can do it with Doug now.. 8bit respawn gadget is the best gadget ever made.

I remember playing this every day for hours and hours back during lockdown. A legendary era man wish brawl stars was still just as fun without all the complexity. Loved playing all day with my friends playing map maker all day as well
Without all the complexity the game would have become stale and really boring long time ago.
@@pixavier9746 it was rushed far to fast and could’ve been improved in other ways rather than dumping pretty much the same brawlers as “new” ones but truly they were more less the same thing. If maybe there was bigger solo showdown maybe if there was an arena/rank style system that made the game competitive like Fortnite. So many things rather than adding gadgets than star powers then the other gadgets and whatnot. I doubt if it’s able to be saved anymore all ik is it’s too late now but man I miss those times I spent playing map maker with my clan or friends who are now long gone
@@Mzed.8 Being saved of what??? Brawl stars is one the most succesful mobile ESPORT Games right now, so it is Indeed a game with a very healthy ranked/competitive system.
If You don't like the Game thats fine, but you can't just say that it needs to be "saved", thats just your opinion.
@@pixavier9746 nah I loved it I still like it but it’s boring and it’s not an opinion tell me why all the biggest RUclipsrs are so inconsistent and literally have nothing good to upload on and don’t say it’s healthy 80% of the people that used to play don’t play anymore. Tell me why I used to go online back on 2020/2021 and I’d have minimum atleast 25+ ppl online but not it’s not ever more than two. I’m not hating since I’ve spent more than the majority of ppl playing the game I’m js saying that they messed it up

And what do You mean Even? Most youtubers I now are able to upload from 2 to 3 weekly videos, wich is pretty good for a Mobile Game.
You can't expect to have infinite content from any game, thats an impossible standard.
And about the online people... First 80% is a random number You just used without any source whatsoever, second, as in any Game, there is always a cycle of new players joining and old players migrating, the fact that the 25+ players that used to play with You don't play anymore doesnt mean a thing when compared to the totality of the global playerbase... You and your friends are not even 0,01% of it.
I stopped playing this game in late 2020 - early 2021, so like half of this video is completely new for me, while the other half is so damn nostalgic.
Also a quick ps, Rosa's super lasted for 7 seconds at the beginning, then it got nerfed to 6 seconds, and then to 3 or 4

The first time i played BS was in 2019, it was really fun but it got boring in in 2021, and now im here, i started playing and I was really confused that there wasn't boxes, i actually really liked them. also, i remember one time I got gene from a small box. I was really hyped

Got the game in mid December 2018, abandoned it until March 2019, came back, played constantly for 2 years, abandoned it again, came back, and now I really miss those times. I'd do anything to play again in 2019.

I personally loved the boxes system then the current. I could pull up gadgets and brawlers and get power point at random and it was great as I am a free play type of player. But making everything buyable is good for the one who are purchasing not for us. Not only that the new rewards that we get everyday from playing is not good either cuz the only epic pulls I get are the stupid pins. That's why boxes were get if nothing I used to get something useful. Whereas skins and pin look good but they are not useful or necessary for the game.
Just started playing brawl stars a month ago in late July, so far as a new player I can say that entering the game nowadays is a great experience and I’m definitely hooked on it now!
Nah I started playing early 2019 when I was 9, and the game was sooooo much better back then in 2019, 2020 and 2021 but then it got worse, the boxes were removed, power 11 got added and stuff like that, i don't play this game since 1 year now because my friends also all quittet and it was so much fun playing with them back then😥 but now this game just isn't as fun anymore
PS: I also likes some things in 2022, like Eve ,or grom as a free brawler
so that's just my experience from the game, for some people it is fun nowadays but sadly for most people, who started more than 3 years ago it just isn't

About the removal of boxes. It was both good and bad. It was good because it is easier to get new brawlers and bad because it is more pay to win than ever.
Star drops are mid. They are a scam to some extent but they gave me willow.

Actually, Lone Star was how I got Leon to 26. I loved both of them, I was so sad when they were removed 😭
In reply to the Box thing, I was FURIOUS when Supercell removed them. I even went on a break for 6 months. When I came back, Starr Drops were added but I thought and still think they were trying to make a replacement for Brawl boxes, considering how big of an impact it was 😑

You missed one big version in beta before going Landscape mode. Star power was introduced during that time, and players can customize if they want to power up HP, atk or super
From my perspective gears was far beyond more controversial of an update compared to the brawl boxes removal. Removing boxes was genius.
I think boxes were one of the main reasons I played the game and removing them also removed the excitement in the game and content for content creators

You forgot the update where you could buy these little gear things to upgrade your brawler. It came right after they changed it from elixir. Was right around the time it went to landscape mode. I missed the OG days😢

Removing boxes was the worst experience I've ever had in Brawl Stars. I had all the brawls and they were all max but after this update I stopped playing. After about a few months, I visited the game and realized that all the people in my clan stopped playing after years.

I got the game a few months before 2018, the old gui is kinda nostalgic. Tbh what drew me in was the ad mentioning the free star shelly skin lol. Around this time i saw a lot of complaints about mortis’ hat but I had no clue or care. I liked dynamike and other throwers a lot back then, also rico.
A week or two before the gui rework to the current one, I got the golden rico skin on discount from 79 gems to around 30 gems (all from boxes, remember when u got em from those lmao). Only for it to be remodelled alongside the ricochet remodel and the new gui change, going up to a 149 gem skin

@@clean_gaming91same, nothing nicer than getting 4 new brawlers within a week some being legendary some mythic etc. for non legendaries, the old system with boxes was better for brawler acquisition, for the new one its only rly better for unlocking legendaries (which lucky me, those are the only ones I didn’t have when boxes went away)

After boxes being removed, all of the brawlers added are so op they're all top 10. I mean doug can respawn instantly in full health, even in solo showdown, cordelius can trap you in his dimension, where you cant use any of your powers, Chuck can travel the map instantly and drive you over with a fucking train and Hank is way too tanky
I started playing with my actual smurf in 2019, I stopped playing at 1500 trophies and restart playing with a new account but I just dropped the game in December 2021, I tried to find the hype but I didn't find it, I finally started playing 2 days ago and I'm liking than ever

Personally as a global launch player I am glad about the box removal as back in my day before the brawl pass the gems from boxes where needed to be used to buy brawlers in the shop
At global launch brawlers were in boxes lol, idk what ur going on about. And actually buying brawlers with gems was only through offers in the store now and then, or daily offers, but they’ve always been in boxes
