- Hello collectors and lovers of vintage electric ovens. Or maybe you just enjoy watching me bring them to life after sitting in the box for upwards of 49 years! It amazes me that a 50 year old product still works and does what it was intended to do. I think this oven was a major change to baking, but not practical compared to other ovens of the day. You really can only make rectangular cakes! Although unique and distinguishable from other products, I'm sure cookies, muffins and other Easy Bake items were what the little home chef wanted to make. My 49 year old mixes did not perform well, but my new pancake mix did and I was happy to see the results.
This video is intended for parents to help them make an informed decision about purchasing the item shown in the video. Many of these products are vintage and the videos are documenting the product for future generations to watch and learn about.

I had one those when I was a kid.I was one of those boys who preferred these "girl toys". Since the elder females of my family passed away. I am the only with the family recipes now. So glad I threw a fit for a "girls toy" now.

A tip to help with fogging on all your cooking toys with watch windows , a rub down with a toothpaste that does not have the colored stripe in it , like AIM, rub it on in a thin coat , let it dry , wipe it off with a damp cloth , usually helps with fogging and it will not affect the flavor of anything you make
I was in love with channel when I was younger it made me feel so much at home I think I watched when I was around 5-9 and now I’m 14 like wow you really were my childhood. I remember sending in a poem about English breakfast and you sent a lucky penny back to me ☹️🥺

I’d be curious if you could try this with a mug cake recipe using modern boxed cake mixes. I imagine they’d come out pretty well.

I have a question when you eat certain foods from these years how come you never get sick from 20 year old food
This sets soo interesting and for 1971 too! The mechanism of using conduction as the cooking element is quite intriguing and I beleive safer than the 70s easy bake. Though I could be wrong. Does anyone know if any other toy ovens used this concept? Or is this a lone solider.

It is very unique, I think it needed some redesign so it could have been as famous as easy bake
Maybe you could make note of the weight on the mixes box then take some new Betty Crocker cake and weigh out that amount. Might be worth a go

I would sell the incomplete set. I always describe and list as not complete. The thing is someone out there might have all of the pieces with no box. The second box is still nice and better then not having one. They might just want the box and sell the extra parts.

What happened you used to get thousands of likes and views I miss those days
Well, you are having a memory of our most popular videos way back when. The majority of our 7000 videos have a lot less likes and views. That, and RUclips controlling much more now, we have lost a lot of our past viewers. Imagine of my 2.2 million subs, less then 1% get an alert of a new video and less then 1% of that even have the bell icon checked. Remember back when RUclips changed the subscription system and did not tell any of the actual watchers of channels and forced channels to teach people what to do? There are plenty of other things that happened that hurt tons of channels, not just mine.
