Lowkey is a British-Iraqi rapper with a PhD in history. He won't sign to labels because they'll censor him, that's why he said "the politics took away my voice but the music gave it back to me". Yes he still make's music, he took a 8+ year hiatus because he was under a lot of heat for things he was speaking on (terrorist pt 1 and 2 break down his life). He came back few years ago with "The Return of Lowkey" track.
