If I could buy this, used and minus the ac adapter, at around the same price as a brand new mg300 by Nux, should I go for it? Or, shall I go for the mg300 which has that TSAC technology in it plus different microphone placements and mic models? Please, kindly advice.
Hello David! When I choose a multi-effect, the first thing that will have my attention is the quality of the amp simulations, as I never use real amps. Thus, we cannot compare the quality of the MG300 simulations, which in addition to great preamps, we can use 48kHz external IRs. As the ME80 has an old amp simulation technology there is no way to make this comparison, the Me80 loses a lot of distance because there is only one cabinet simulation that we don't even know for sure what it is and besides that we have to insert a plug in the headphones output to activate. But the ME80 wins when it comes to construction and controllability because it's built like a tank to last 20, 30 years or more. And there are plenty of footswitches for full controllability at live shows.
@@DirectRecordingGuitar I really like your answer because it makes so much sense. Yes, it's true we as guitar players do want to be able to have access to as many amps as we possibly can. With tube amps costing an arm and a leg, it is only logical that we go for the best possible digital copies. Yes, the amps in Nux mg series are like super real. I watched this vdo where the Nux amp sims were played after the real ones in a real studio settings and I couldn't even tell where one stops and the other begins. No matter how hard I concentrate. The newer Boss processors must have better amp sims but then they tend to be a bit more expensive than their counterparts. It is, however, true their built and parts quality are really very good.
I have a friend who has been actively using an ME-8 at live shows since the late 90's. :D And he's a great guitar player, great guitar sounds every time.
Hi, this device doesn't sustain the tail during preset changes. However, if we use the CTL to turn on and off the delay/reverb without exiting the preset, the tail will still keep ringing.
Blz William... estou viajando, só na volta mesmo daqui a um mês +/-. Mas enquanto não faço saiba que a alteração nos timbres será a mesma que rolou nos vídeos da Gt100 com Radar, no MT2 com Radar e no OD3 com Radar.
This guy's playing abilities is no joke! Amazing!
🙏👍👍Thank you and appreciate your kindness and generosity sharing your presets and knowledge🤩🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

Do you have a video for John Petrucci's ME-80 settings?
Thanks
I had Me80 Petrucci distortion here on the channel but I removed it because I'm going to remake the video. Will be back soon! Thanks bro!
@@DirectRecordingGuitar looking forward to it! Thanks a lot

We’re you just using the controls on the unit and not the tone studio
Does me -80 delay and reverb trail after changing one patch to another?

John petrucci why unavailable?
Hello! Bringing John Petrucci-based settings for the Boss ME-80 back to the channel: ruclips.net/video/BnMJdjW0ppc/видео.html
Excelente patch amigo!
Voy a experimentar, gracias!!
Aguardando me80 + radar 😬
