Going up Gaustatoppen: Funicular VS skis | Visit Norway

- Tobias and Gabriella are taking on the famous Gaustatoppen mountain, but in two very different ways: While Tobias is strapping on his ski boots and sunscreen, skiing up and down with a local guide, Gabriella is exploring the historical funicular INSIDE the iconic mountain! ⛷️
In any case, a view over 1/6 of Norway and waffles await at 1883 meters above sea level! 🤝
Gaustatoppen is located in Telemark in the middle of Southern Norway and is a very popular hiking destination both in summer and winter. The funicular Gaustabanen was built by NATO in 1959, and holds lots of history. It runs every day from February to October. If skiing, remember to always use a local guide, like Torgeir Urdal in the video! ⛰️
