I think what I hate most is people characterizing acne or dark spots or texture as ‘dirty’. That might be the most toxic beauty standard EVER. So many people have it-for so many reasons and it’s 99% not out of lack of hygiene but due to medical conditions of the skin (hormonal acne, cystic acne, etc) that IS really hard to treat. This trend sucks.
The trend does not suck.I'd take this over the "Kardashian makeup look" anytime. However, the problem is with how it's called and the fact that a lot of people are misinformed-like the bit about acne you just said.
i associate the "clean" part as simply the color palette for the makeup being very minimal and "clean" with soft pinks and flesh tones which can be somewhat natural in our skins color palette without makeup. i dont instantly think of "acne or dark spots" and i definitely dont take "clean girl makeup" as being flawless by means of no blemishes but, with all trends it just seems like people are going to interpret it differently!!! sucks to see people taking the trend that way
@@hiiily5408 AND WHY IS THAT? Yes? Acne is frequently seen as a ‘problem that someone hasn’t bothered to take care of’ or ‘embarrassing’. It’s certainly not a beauty trend. The ‘clean’ beauty is not referencing the products….so? It is different from the ‘minimal’ makeup trend how? Skinny trends bother people when it comes to weight, why is it so difficult to understand this can be a negatively impacting social media output for people struggling with their skin condition?
ppl say naturally clear or clean skin dont need to wear makeup like what..? I have clear skin naturally and i still love to do makeup to highlight my features idek fym by that
I have clear skin but it's uneven skin(idk if thats considered clear skin tho) so some people want it to enhance their features or make their skin look even more flawless
same i have bad acne and always have and even though i take really good proper care of my skin, my acne’s hormonal and there’s nothing i can do about it for now. so even with makeup (full face or not), i always feel like i look so gross especially by the end of the day i just look sweaty and ew. i love makeup and i love skincare but somehow they won’t cooperate with each other on my face
@@lovrboi this is exactly why I think this trend is toxic. Acne is NOT someone’s fault and cannot be fixed by hygiene alone in 90% of the cases. That’s why there is serious dermatological treatment protocols for it, whole chapters on it regarding the medicine required to treat it. Don’t let some stupid trend get you down.
@@shrishtisinha6692 this trend is a general trend, if some ppl dont have clear skin for this specific trend thats okay since if this doesnt work for them, some other trend will. It doesnt make the trend toxic just so yk
you can still do this trend even if you have acne and big pores. if you have really oily skin, i would suggest buying some oil paper to absorb the oil. pimple patches also work wonders. if that doesn't work, you might need to moisturize more

Only works for people that have clear skin, no lines and small pores. This enhances the natural beauty they already have. Lucky them but to get the “clean and natural “ look when you have issues going on it requires ALOT more products and steps.
I think the point is about using less makeup to look clean. We dont have to conceal acne or scars but i think the trend focuses on enhancing our natural features. This compilation seems to only have people with clear skin but everyone can make this trend work.
Just a friendly reminder.......none of these make-up looks look the same in real life. You'll see some texture and that's okay. Don't expect it to look plastic smooth. The texture, the pores, the facial hair, the scars, the bu!s everything is just human. And it's beautiful.
can people maybe please stop with the blurring filters. like. you cake on a ton of makeup and it only looks 'clean' cuz you put that filter on. these people are so fake 🥲

No, it’s a trend that focuses on minimal makeup, or the illusion of it. Too much makeup or the wrong techniques can lead to it looking undesirable. It isn’t calling people dirty in any way shape or form.
