Good one! Lob city mavs are the best mavs to date and we can still look forward to seeing a much more developed Luka with all the pieces that he has at his disposal with the backup of Kyrie to keep the ship afloat for the championship!
We've seen what Kyrie has done with LEBRON in 2016 when he and lebron scored 40 plus points in a game series against the warriors.

Loved the little dunk contest they had in pregame warmups. This team has hops...
Lively is the Mavericks center of the future, probably. But Gafford absolutely should be the center of Mavs now.
They have different strengths. Gafford is a better defensive rebounder, which has been a huge weakness for a long time.
Lively is more switchable and better offensively (namely, short roll passing).
It's matchip dependant, but Gafford is probably more often the better option right now.

And FYI Mavericks record this season without Luka is 3-6 and the only reason you feel like you see better chemistry without Luka is due to the team actually being forced to try hard and play as a complete team in order to even come close to winning or not getting blown out

The Mavs are different team now. It's small sample, but during three consecutive wins, they made threes 30%! I hope we see this version of Mavs rest of the season and in the playoffs.
Well I want this mavs but shooting 36-38 percent from three. Not take and rely on the three ball, but still be effective from three. Because if they continue to do this, they can start to do what the spurs did and pack the paint and then the mavs do nothing the whole second half

He had no choice Exum and Hardaway were drowning the team offensively and defensively. Colin Sexton was Exum daddy the entire game, its sad everyone dogs Hardy, but he did pretty good on Sexton last night when given the minutes.

guys ahead of Hardy?? Yeah, worse players. The management needs to trade THJ to prevent Kidd from playing him. Hardy is more talented and already better. Including on defense.

@@LockedOnMavericks I think you're high if Exum is above Hardy after watching last nights game. Sexton was scoring on him at will, Dante could not drive the lane without turning it over, hesitated in the lane and wasted time on the shot clock when he was primary handler, and had more turnovers than points. Both Hardaway and Exum were so bad on both sides of the court that it forced Kidd to play Hardy early in the first half, then they continued to play bad so Kidd played Hardy in the 3rd and 4th to give Luka and Ky rest. Sure Exum is a good defender, but outside of being a catch and shoot player he is worthless on offense. Misses open Dunks, and layups and cant facilitate an offense without Luka or Ky overlooking. Whens the last time Hardaway or Exum put up 28 points in 18 minutes like Hardy did a month and a half ago? We are absolutely doomed if our playoff bench is Exum, Hardaway, Kleber. People forget Hardy played significant minutes when we went on that 7-0 run, then we started DNP him right after exum returned and went 1-5. Exum is not the dude you believe he is. Lets stop worshing a guy who is knocking down wide open shots 3/4 of the league could hit. Im sorry Exum at no point this year was dropping dimes like Hardy did last night.
@@LockedOnMavericks Hey interesting fact. When Exum was injured the Mavs went on a 7-0 run when Hardy was playing his minutes, then Exum returned and reclaimed his minutes and our record has been 8-7 since his return. So is Exum really better than Hardy? Is he really?
Hardy 3 point ability can be important in play off. Hardaway seems to be unable to get back to the right pace
Hardy can facilitate better than both Exum and Hardaway, him not playing is baffling to the mind, Exum and Hardaway arent dropping dimes like that at all.

In all honesty...Kai is a fabulous stretch four with pretty good handles.
Well, the crazy thing is that Nico wanted Kuz. The Mavs got lucky. Kuz didn't want Dallas. Gafford was the player that the Mavs needed, it is crazy that there was even a discussion within the Mavs upper management. Nico, get it together man.
A good win. I certainly enjoyed the dunks but the Mavs need to take care of those OPEN 3's, mmmaaaannn. Although Tim is struggling badly from long range as well, he is rushing his open shots too much from those good looks - kinda like he's over thinking on court. What the Mavs need to do with Tim to regain his shooting confidence is to get him more driving to the rim opportunities so that he can get to the line first and then work his way up. In my opinion, PJ is a dismal 3pt shooter so far, who is open so much and missing good looks too... His shot mechanics is badly off lined from release - he needs his shooting coach to help him straighten it and he will be fine. Maxie shooting a little better this time. Although it's impossible to knock down all, these role players have to make those open 3's attempts, especially when the game gets slower in the playoffs. Gafford just can't be stopped. He is a beast!! I'm leaning toward Gafford to be the X-factor for the Mavs in the post season.

I LOVE this version of the Mavs! I will gladly sacrifice the 3pt shooting for the physicality & constant pressure they have been putting on the opposing paint. Once the regular season is over, DJ & PJ gotta be in the gym shooting nothing but 3’s during that time off in prep for the playoffs. For PJ, I think his issue is all confidence. Reps will cure that!

Hardy only played a ton of minutes because THJ and Exum were useless last night. Hardy was a difference maker when in the game. Anytime Exum and THJ came in the lead always shrank.

Well, let Luka and Ky take 3’s in that starting lineup and establish and inside presence and defensive presence with the other 3 guys. Then hope things open enough so that at the game progress things open up and you find at least some other outside shooting from the role players and ride him. With that starting line up I rather have the 3 point shooting problem you mentioned than no Defense and no inside presence.

One thing for Gafford in relation to Lively. He allows Lively to navigate the rookie wall. Lively isn’t playing bad by any means.

I’ve said before, Tim is the new Bertans. Give him a few spurts to see if his flame throwing from 3, but Hardy adds so much more, and it’s not like he’s so much worse from 3 (especially with Tim’s slump)
Kyrie is the reason Hardy did not get dealt. If you notice Hardy gets most of his run with Kyrie, I wonder if Ky went to Kidd and said its time to let the kid fly.

We were on a 7 game win streak with him as the backup PG, Since Exum has returned from injury and was awarded that role without proving himself we have been 8-7. Exum is not that guy, Kidd needs to wake up and stick with whats winning games, and thats Hardy as the primary backup ball handler.
@anigerianninja4577 You can like a player but lets be real. When Hardy was playing Exums minutes during his injury we were on a 7 game winning streak, we inserted Exum and have been DNP Hardy, and have been barely above 500 since. We have to play the odds, Hardy has been more of an impact player when on the court compared to Exum. Kidd needs to put his pride aside. Since Exum return this team has been 8-7, he proved himself to not be the guy we need, its time to play Hardy. We are better than a 500 team, and showed it during Exums injury. Keep in mind the only move we have made since Exum coming back, is reducing Hardys minutes, and its resulted in 500 ball.
Powell is now the boban/ taco fall center. Hahaha
