She sings like Suzanne Vega style when she uses english lyrics. Very pure and out of this tendancy that young women singers overuse since 10 or 15 years now: short rate vibratos, mezzo Voce, kinda Billy Holiday tone but without her grace. Here Silja Sol stays straight and genuine with an old but eternal way of singing. Very natural in fact. Just for that, she deserves respect. Her compositions are always interesting, wether happy pop or melancholy electro, that makes me think of Olivia Mehrilati (The Dø).
Only recently discovered her lovely voice via her beautiful harmonizing with Aurora's band. Understand she wants solo career but I hope she rejoins Aurora, at least on occasion. Something seems "missing" when Aurora sings without Silja.
