You didn't even listen to the hidden track. It's the best part of the whole track...He talks about getting back into the grace of god at the beginning. That's the whole point of the song. That he was dancing with the devil, but he got caught up and decided to change his fate. Also, it's one of the the best freestyles by diabolik. It's still horrorcore tho. Is not really ever roses n sunshine.
I do agree though, with a comment on this or another vid, I can't remember. This is definitely a fuck your day up starter kit. And though it's on my playlist I skip it almost every time. Unless someone who hasn't heard him is around. Then I put it on, and cringe through it with them and watch their reaction.

The song is about so much.
It talks about people’s obsession with material objects and the desire to obtain them anyway possible. How someone is willing to destroy other people’s life’s for their own selfish benefit and eventually their own.
Also when he says that “he fiended for props like addicts with pipes and needles”; the dude wanted to fit in so bad it was like an addiction. He had to get that respect at any cost similar to someone addicted to crack.
One of the best lines ever, “the devil grows inside the hearts of the selfish and wicked; white, brown, yellow and black color is not restricted” is just so true! Evil cares not what color you are or what you do! If you let yourself be taken in by your selfishness and greed you’ll be more susceptible to doing evil things in order to obtain them. I don’t know this song has too much to discuss in a comment.

I know it's been 4 years but I wanted to share some of my takeaway. That obsession with material objects and "selling your soul" gives the melting pot a double entendre where in New York all the immigrants coming and becoming new yorkers was where "melting pot" started. And people that are all inflicted by the devil no matter the color of their skin are all the same in this melting pot because they are all soul less beings obsessed with material objects and power, wealth, etc. Amazing song so deep

I listen to this song in the car with my husband who was my bf at the time. The year was 2006, it was a summer night, we had the windows down and the air was warm. We were 16 and 17.... the more i listened the more i could picture it all in my head as if i was standing there.... witnessing it all. When he said the mom line i almost passed out bih 😭😭😭😭😭 i wasnt the same after that track lol suddenly the air changed and it got cold. Immortal Technique is beyong rap. He is natural born leader and visionary. He can make network hosts seem like children on a various social/political issues. He uses rap as a platform to make social commentaries, however, his flow is super technical and his lyrics are more cnnected than anyone else.
it's a fucked up song but thinking about how this shit happens in real life shows how much we need to change as human beings. most people look at love as a weakness or a reason to kill but in reality love is strength or a motivater to make you want a better life for yourself and everyone around you. love big

1. Apparently Immortal Technique said when he was locked up someone told him this story and this is from their perspective
2. It was an urban legend that happened once in IT's neighbourhood and he made it into a song as an example

This is an old video, but just in case you never found out if the song is a true story. Immortal Technique spoke about it in an interview. It's not true, but he wrote the song because things like that happen everyday in the gang culture that exists in this country. I like how at 1 minute youse guess this song is gonne be like "Die and Murder".
