Maybe a stupid question, but I'd be interested in how you market your grain. If you contract, where does it deliver, or if you cash sold it etc. New to marketing, anything is appreciated.
Since I'm a hired hand I don't see a lot of that happen. I'm fairly certain he has a grain broker and he call the guy say he wants to see or that guy sells so much of it....then the broker says take 10,000bushel to such and such plant. Its always tricky selling....especially now since prices are so poor.
Agreed. Also it's nice having guys dumping the trailers to keep up the pass they want at the facility versus having each driver dump at different rates
Yah, facilities like that really speed up harvest too when you can dump a trailer like that. No waiting for trucks in the field. That place looks cool on google maps looks like theyre setting up aeration in their outdoor pile

I currently work at this facility! It’s funny how it just came across my feed. 😂
Always interesting to see how large scale farming works. Around here it's mostly sold to local supermarkets or food truck vendors.
Ahhh neat. Ya we are mainly corn/soybeans in our area. The canning companies grow some vegetables in the area as well
That's a nice place, no messing around there!
not at all!
Loading unit trains out of that facility only takes 7 hours now. 110 cars only 3 minutes a car.
Those are our bins!!! I run a laser at Gsi and just cut 20 of those bin signs last night
That's awesome! Gotta be satisfying see the things you built in action!

The owner's younger brother does vinyl wrap stuff. Its a picture of his dad, uncle and the other farm hands from years back
Oh cool
Awesome facility most are really strict nowadays. Cant blame em they dont want the liability.

Trying to find their dryer it must be a tower dryer. Itd be neat to hear their grain legs BPH and info on their dryer. I bet its a monster
Smashing Puppy ya looks like big chunks of field tile through the pile.
Id be doing my trailor so they dont ruin my air bags
