Why on Earth is this so enjoyable? I first saw thumbnails for this type of game maybe a year ago and tried to watch but thought, to myself " what kind of boring game is this?", then I just went onto other things. Now, having given it another chance, I am loving it. Maybe part of it is because in the last year I've been learning 3D modeling (pretty poorly) and have gotten a new appreciation for what it takes to create this kind of realistic environment, and on top of that all the physics involved; it's just fascinating to watch. But not only that, I realize now that it's a refreshing departure from the typical gameplay involving vehicles, e.g racing/chasing/cops-bad guys/rally etc (all of which I enjoy too). I actually think I could get into this because it seems quite tricky and it looks like it is less about reflex response and more about strategy.
JazzPianoObsessed same goes for euro truck simulator, i was addicted to it so much that i came into realization driving a truck on highway for hours is the most unproductive thing i could do for a day, even if it was pleasure to play
Yea you can spend like an hour getting somewhere to pick up supplies you need and going to drop them off and then flip your truck and have 1 of 2 options. Drive another truck out there with a crane attached to pull flipped truck upright, and then pick up supplies and reload them in box or onto trailer, or respawn flipped truck at garage, and drive to where you flipped to get your trailer and supplies back or just get a new trailer and go get the supplies again.
If these physics are impressive, try Mudrunner or Spintires. There you'll find better physics hands down. Snowrunner is a great game no doubt but in terms of physics, engine sounds and some funcionalities this is the inferior product. This physics remind me of RC trucks :))
