@@RyanRufusNNM , It is Paul whom Jesus was speaking about. The Word of God by the Holy Spirit working through Apostle Paul, tells us that he was the least among them.
Reading the Word with the Spirit gives us the true meaning of Matt 11:11.
Jesus is not speaking of anyone, but one man written in Holy Scriptures as the least to the kingdom of heaven. That man is Paul, who IS greater than John the Baptist.

I'm glad that you focused on the idea of being "born again" since that is really what Jesus is getting at here. The reason why John the Baptist is considered the greatest of those "born of women" since, according to Luke 1:15, he was the only human born with the Holy Spirit from his mother's womb! (We tend to forget this about John) and the reason why he is considered less than the "least in the Kingdom" is because those "in the Kingdom" are without sin (He that is born of God is without sin 1John 3:9) The New Creation is without sin and cannot sin. CANNOT sin.

I was told that, this particular verse, says that because the least in heaven is greater than he, that therefore this verse meant that John was somehow not in heaven. He somehow, betrayed Jesus because he didn't stop his ministry and point his followers to Jesus. Then he meddled in the affairs of Herod Antipas because he married his brothers ex-wife which was unlawful. This got him put in jail and killed. I've never heard this viewpoint. Personally, I don't think its correct. But It is a viewpoint that people are trying to teach me, and I don't believe I can accept it.

I'm more confused. I don't understand the part about Abraham and the others did not go to heaven. But Jesus himself said otherwise in Matthew 8:11-12: I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

I’m pretty sure that’s talking about when Jesus comes back and we are truly able to inter into heaven and be able to sit with all these great people who gave there life and lived faithfully to Jesus and the last part means that the people who will be in hell are sorrowful and angry because they have been casted out from Gods presence (that’s why it’s says casted out into the darkness)

@@tuckerblagg4156 i get what you're trying to say but the problem here is that he stated emphatically that Abraham and others did not go to heaven. Which is quite absurd because the scripture doesn't say that.

@@louisbryte5307k he is correct about that because they aren’t in heaven yet they are in paradise the waiting place for heaven and the reason why they aren’t in heaven is because Jesus has t returned yet and the same thing for hell the waiting place for hell is called Purgatory, Torment or Hades (hells waiting place has a few different names) and those people aren’t in hell yet because again Jesus has returned back to earth yet

Just leave it at that they didn't go to heaven as the verse didn't say all you are adding and if you add for any reason provide scriptural basis.

You're explaining of Matt 11:11 is not correct.
KJV says, in the second part:
Notwithstanding, which means, Although, in spite of this....he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
Jesus is speaking of one man, NOT anyone who becomes saved, or "born again."
The term born again is only for the Jews. Jesus spoke those words to them, which Paul, our Apostle to Gentiles, did not EVER speak that term. Gentiles are RENEWED IN THE MIND, and WASHED BY THE WORD.
    SO, back to the verse,
Matt 11:11b, Although, he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
The man who was to be revealed that is the Least among them, was Paul.
    Read 1 Cor 15:9, says,
For I (Paul) am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
    Now read, Eph 3:8, says,
Unto me (Paul) , who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.
Jesus was speaking of Paul, who was the least among them to the kingdom of heaven, and Paul is greater than John the Baptist.
    *King James Version*
