I love this! Started a similar tradition with my little man, now 3.5 years old. Last season on our first outing during archery season he was in my backpack carrier on the way off the mountain. A doe came running from the bedding and stopped about 18 yards. Then took off; then she or another deer came back and stopped about 18-22 yards away and this time I had my bow. My boy said "shoot" but as I released the string of my recurve he switched which shoulder he was peeking over and we missed her by about 6 inches. Better than an injured deer. Today we go out for his first trip of this season. Fingers crossed we just see some deer, even though he wants to see and shoot a bear! Great stuff. Loving your channel!
Thought I already responded to your comment but don't see it now. I tried shooting with my daughter in a backpack carrier when she was younger and it was really hard! That would have been cool if you had been successful that way. I hope you had a great bear hunt and have an awesome deer season.

I’m not too familiar with hunting but do active headphones work just as well as passive ear muffs when hunting? I feel like they’d be better as far as communicating with your daughter so you don’t have to remove them constantly when she’s trying to listen to you
They would work well I think. The difference is cost.
