I would rather half ass fly around the map than have to grind out flying like in BFA.
Thank you so much for this quick video. I was struggling bad with my dragon riding where I mostly just ran around on my druid travel form because I could not get any height or speed. Your tips just helped me get almost all the glyphs in the first zone. Keep up the hard work for all of us we appreciate it!
You're a legend bro! The second tip did it for me! I kept running out of vigor and started to really hate dragon riding but after that tip I never run out of vigor and I really like the dragon flying system, thanks so much!
I was so annoyed at the beginning and stopped playing but then decided to practice a lot throughout the racing quests. Now I am much better and can reach the highest points and surely collected all glyphs. However I prefer old school flying for landing and farming purposes as well as controlling the speed which is much easier for a player with vision issues like me.

I was away from a game known as SOD (School Of Dragons) which is based on the HTTYD movie...I felt like flying some dragons las night so I tried to login to SOD on my old computer...and I spent the entire night finding out and learning about the sad news that SOD was actually shut down 😓...yeah that's why I'm here, I guess this game is going to be the replacement...thanks for the video, and the very informative guide 👌
I only learned how effective skyward ascent is when facing UP recently. I almost never need to recharge vigor anymore. Much like surge is almost useless pointed upward but incredible the further you point down, ascent works the opposite. up at a 45 degree or higher angle will ROCKET you upward.
ok so i am farming these glyphs but to fly from 1 glyph to other when they are always at high places is a little bit hard , i fly from 1 glyph to other but then i still need to wait on the ground and bruteforce my way upwards , if i had more vigor its easier to move around
I love dragon riding! I'd only change the landing, I don't feel we need to crash land so much. 😅

Not helpful at all. No one really teaches how to keep max speed to regen vigor. Everyone always says "maintain max speed," with no real detailed technique. Just shows that ppl don't understand the mechanic fully.

@@kgjdhkgd He said to keep the nose downward but gave no indication as to how that's done. He could have said in order to do that you need to right click and drag downwards but he didn't, he just waffled on about anything but that.

The races are nothing like trying to use dragonriding, You start out much higher and have no real issue with gaining the initial momentum, which is the biggest issue and no one provides a solution for.

I love the idea of the new flying mechanism. However, I suffer from motion sickness hoping eagerly WOW can have an option to reduce some animations

GOOD VIDEO, well, I love this new style, it is much better than original one and YES I DO HOPE this new style will be for the entire map and continents. I thought already is for all zones not only on dragon isles. Is not fair like this. Should be everywhere

Hell no, Blizz should bring old flying back or at least add it as an alternative to dragon riding. Dunno for others but I'm on the brink of cancelling my sub just for this and return in a later expansion just if they ditched dragon riding.

WoW doesn't have flying in other zones. It has air swimming. This is demonstrably better.
Bring back the slower flight system. At least give us a choice! Hating this flight system. Spend more time on the ground recharging
Yeah, it's really punishing if you flub a jump or crash into something that kills your speed. It gets a bit better after you get 4 glyphs to increase grounded regen but I can totally admit I was pretty mad before I got that one.
Sucks at first but look up a guide and grab all the glyphs before you continue questing. Makes life easier having all the abilities and 6 glyphs

Probably the worst, most time wasting mechanism in the entire game. So happy that I can't use any of my 200 flying mounts bar 5.

I literally figured this all out day 1 just by playing and doing the dragonriding quests. The only real tip is to take a half hour/hour and find all the vigor points in each zone.
Absolute bullshit of a system, i wanna play my class not my dragon
You get from point A to point B more than twice as fast. So you get to play your class more with this system than with air swimming. Sit in a city and spam queues if it doesn't fit

I agree. I quit last week. Spent hours trying to fly through rings on some quests. Just can't get the hang of dragonflying

I had a lot of fun as returning player from 10 tp 60. 60 to 61 + these awful flying dragon was my worst time in wow. I want to go to point A to B to do dungeon or quest, i dont want to play flight similator. Awfull game experience.
lol so go point a to b then and don't use flight simulator. Also if you weren't such a pansy and spent a half hour collecting all the vigor points throughout each zone and maxed the dragonriding skill suddenly flight simulator will be your favorite part since you get to point a to b in seconds.
I hate the new dragon riding! Flying through rings, just hate it being part of the game and progression through the dragon isles. I can't remember which game it was (one of the Batman games I think) had a similar feature. I got so frustrated I walked away and never finished the game. I hope at some point they give us the opportunity to unlock regular flying. Another pathfinder or something. If others like (prefer) this type of flying, that's fine. I'm not saying get rid of it, but just allow us the chance to choose and use the flying system we prefer. There's 100% no way I'll ever finish those dragon race quests. I'll end up throwing or smashing my keyboard or mouse. Just too frustrating. I would just like to quest and level without all the BS. Not a fan of this new system or this expansion so far.

I may skip the dragon Isles all together just to avoid this bull shit disaster of an idea. The Original form of flying is much more fun ...the game shouldn't be focused on these dragons just because a hit series was popular for a while...jezz
I have MANY flying mounts I EARNED over the years. If I can't use them on day one, this is a no-starter. WOW is truly dead.

there is really much content to make with dragonflight, but a video that explains dragonflying...which has a tutorial...where everything is basically learnt instantly...and everything is described in the passivs and skills...I mean Dude please. It needs like 5 min of dragonflying to know everything you mentioned in the video...

I thought my game was bugged but it turns out its just a really shitty mechanic. Feels like a bad BFA quest every time I fly. No matter how "good" I get at it, still feels like wonky crap.
Leave it to blizzard to somehow make flying worse. It's funny how the main focus of the expansion....is already the worst part of it.
