I got my buddy the explode toads, a grass hero swim jig, a blooper, and a scout. He absolutely loved them! Keep up the awesome work and keep putting out some awesome baits!
Side arm casting can reduce the slack on the line when the lure lands on the water if you get the hang of it, helps a lot with the presentation on the landing.
Fished with the toad 1 time and there was no grass near me. Lol I was just stoked to try it out. This thing has a great weight to it and an awesome action. The Googans did a good job on this one. LFG out here killin it, yet again!

I love this kinda of frog fishing. These toads are great but the googan screw lock hook sucks! I compared it to numerous other hooks and it was the worst hook up ratio of the bunch. I lost numerous fish on those hooks. I think they arevtoo thick and the gap isnt wide enough unfortunately. Vmc fast grip hooks seem to work best but i prefer screw lock because the frog lasts longer. My favorite frog for this kind of fishing is now discontinued! Ughh the manns hardnose toad. Please bring this frog back manns!!! Black with red fleck! Explosive!! Fish on!
If your looking for the perfect hook to use with the Explode Toad, I recommend 7/0 Berkley Fusion 19 unweighted swimbait hook. Fits perfectly with the length and with of the toad. Since this toad is way bigger than let's say your zoom horny toad

awesome bait! this has become my confidence lure, topwater action and I add a 1/8 bullet weight and fish it on bottom too! works like a charm
