I recently moved from reg server to reboot, starting fresh (leaving behind 5k legion was a big decision since it felt like a lot of progress for me at that point) but I kinda catapulted into reboot even without burning past 200; I now have about 1k legion and my current main is 249 (so close!), able to solo CRA and Akechi, but party with my friend for Lomien and cpap (only cause he is so annoying). So now I am kind of starting to reevaluate what I need to be working on now as I either slowly hit 250 or until a magnificent pot shows up, whichever comes first. I feel like early game was fun for me recently because I already kind of knew what I was doing since I played before, but I think it is overwhelming for new players and it is hard to motivate your friends who you just got to play the game to rush a character to 200 so they can start doing content with you, since the initial grind to 200 on that first character is kind of daunting, I think. Especially after 140 when you stop 1-shotting things and such. I kind of really enjoyed the post 200-stage of early game once I got that first level 5 symbol to smooth out grinding, and arcane force started leveling up smoothly, and mesos started rolling in more as I was able to clear more weeklies which let me cube and star force more... it was quite exciting. The transition phase to mid game is interesting now since it kind of feels like I need to cool my jets on my main and work on some other characters now for a bit, while still feeling the daily quest grind a bit. Events really help, though, especially with nodes which is the worst part of reboot imo (the meso gains being the best part, which was why I left reg server). Can't comment on the later stages of the game since this is (almost) my first 250 character.
Early and mid game are the easiest and most fun because of how easily attainable gains are, even though you do it a bunch of times for bossing mules etc. It becomes quicker once you know what needs to get done and helpful hlomien trades
Legion Mains really get this, I’ve spent so much on bossing mules because I just can’t get into playing on my “main”. Gains are so slow and I’m mostly just waiting for events. Or I can throw a few B on a mule and zoom through early game.
This is a great video! I always always always think about getting back into Maplestory. Been playing since mid 2010 and have played on and off ever since. Normally its like a 3 month stint of enjoying levelling classes or new classes but once it gets to around 180-190 to 200+ it starts to get very overwhelming for me because its all just new stuff that Ive never experienced. I just dont know where to start or what to do or what order to do things. I am an extremely casual player and so i go very slow as to not burn myself out. But who knows...maybe ill do another 3 month stint XD
@flubbah I was too, I got back into the game with this past hyperburn event 1-250. A great way to come back, established a main. Since the event I made it to 258, with 3.7K legion. I did however start on reg server, since my time is limited with a kid. And whaled a bit. I’m now in bossing parties doing up to normal gloom and gonna start vhilla soon. I’m 49.3k stat. I have plans to start reboot with the Savior update and hyperburn a bishop. With all the Reboot being better stuff going around, which is understandable. I’ll still play reg server since I established a friend group, and bossing party with my guild. Regular server really no point for bossing mules since crystals sell for crap. So if you like a one char main server from what I’ve seen reg maybe for you if you want to progress quicker. Reboot is all around great. F2P, get billions of meso, etc. all in all if you wanted to start, June update would be best for you since you mention you get overwhelmed a lot. I say start like I did. Make a main with hyper burn. Get to about 200 on that, get some link skills and legion mules to 100. Use Zakum Tech to get chars to 141. At least to be able to use bonk potions to 180 and train to 200. Or if you feel lazy. Keep them at 140. And get your main hyperburn to 250, then go back to legion and link skills. For myself I hit 255, and focused more 140’s and 200+ chars. I have 5 210’s atm, rest of my 23 chars are 140, with 2 chars at 180 to eventually push them to 200-210. Maplestory is a game you take at your own pace but I honestly think any event with Hyperburn is the best way to come back and start again or progress more if you aren’t starting over. I been back for 5 months and enjoying my progression. And might just do it again in June on reboot server as well.
i believe im getting into that mid game itch already, im a 252 bishop, 5.3k legion, all links lvl 2. The main things im focusing on rn are weekly bosses, gollux drops, meso farming, and growing the legion but im getting burnt out or bored pretty quick. Feels like even if i went hard and grinded 8 hours a day everyday i still wouldnt see seren/bm/kaling for years. Im f2p so i wouldnt mind quitting the game but the young mapler in me still wants to get to that late game like i always said i would. Quite conflicted rn.
I stoper playing maple after Big Bang just got back and I’m super lost… Also sad to see many items I use to like are gone and cant be obtained anymore such as the smiling - crying mask and also all the unwelcom PQ and items
I lowkey am excited for the late game since I'm transitioning into it now, currently 35k stat on my DW main and working on legion to 6k so I can get into hard parties easier. Honestly the worst stages of the game is any stage you feel fomo in, like this whole misty island totem stuff, I hated that content so much I only opted to get 2/3 boxes for the flames and with one week left I still haven't hit a flame score of over 60. The 21-22 SF grind I'm not really looking forward to either.
Most players are in early/midgame range. Only like 1% are in the endgame. I think the biggest problem is the number of players that do not treat this as a normal mmo or the hard core mmo mindset has faded. Back in the day, it was quite normal in other mmos to grind out 24-40 hrs a day to gain 1 level or 1000 hr grinds for rare drops. Somehow maplestory does not have that mindset. They want the quick and short, but plentiful game experience. The reason why might be encoded in the early beginnings of the game where party quests were the most prominent way of levelling the game. Also the addition of multiple short timed exp buffs and the deletion of 24 hr exp coupons could have played a role. But overall, if one does treat this mmo as an actual mmo then it is not common to see them in the endgame.
worst stage of Maplestory is right after you get your Abso gear it goes from 100% enjoyment to 100% annoyance.

Wait what are the Grandis dailies? New player here
Level 260+ dailies!
Yup Ws Crazy video
Wat does it mean to double prime??
I think he means Double prime potential lines, which means he gets 2 lines of Max value (12% irc) of his main stat in his equips
So like when people go for 3L it looks something like 13/10/10 When you want to min max you go for "double primes" Ex. 13/13/10.
big fan, but the question still stands, what is an ereklo?
kalos at +1 right?
@@theShoeMS ofcourse!???
