He's not even one of the top heavyweights of all time yet. Maybe he can up his resume, but that'll be difficult, considering his age, and how many fights he can have before he's done.
Now as far as Dana gaslighting? Dana's always done that. He talks all sorts of smack against fighters that aren't actively trying to fight. GSP, Jones, Ngannou, or basically anyone that doesn't jump at Dana's command. Nobody in their right mind thinks Jones could make 185lb. It was just trash talk from a promoter not getting his way, and you should know better.

Dana is a great promoter, and spins any story to a promotional angle. Jones is the light-heavyweight GOAT, but is ducking fights against Aspinall, Pavlovich, etc., to wait for 1 last fight against Stipe who is well past his prime.

Agreed. It is comparable to Fedor's fight against Kohsaka in 2000, where an illegal/accidental elbow from Kohsaka resulted in a doctor's stoppage, and was recorded as a loss against Fedor. Fedor destroyed Kohsaka in their 2005 rematch.

Jones lost many rounds. He probably lost to Reyes. The fact that he fought once at Heavyweight and that makes him P4P king is ridiculous. If he cleared out the HW division then he definitely would be. Before that he is still the greatest LW but not yet P4P.

For Alex to go up in weight to fight Islam is completely different than for Jon to go up in weight to fight Gane, no disrespect to Gane, who is a great fighters. But he's not the Islam of the heavyweight division. So that comparison just doesn't make sense.

Jon lost to Reyes so he has a loss. He is a size bully. Weight, reach and height = size. He has had the size advantage is every fight, but one. And he likely had a 6” reach advantage or more in 75% of his fights. He also got caught taking PED’s.
