Hi, the tire pressure was set to 30psi all around.
I tried to brake a little over the limits of the rear axle. So the rear wheels start to lock slightly while turn in and the rear end starts to rotate. But if you brake too hard, the front wheels lock and you will have massive understeer. It is a little bit difficult to explain, but here step by step: 1. start braking "normally" 2. Turn in impuls (maybe release the brake slightly to have enough grip on the front tires) 3. Directly after the turn in impuls, brake a little bit harder (but not too much) and the rear end starts to rotate! :)

you can also just do a normal trail brake and add throttle to kick the rear end as it's lifted enough on the entry from braking/coasting for a bit of wheelspin
@@fujineetomori does your brake balance need to be to the rear in order to do that? or do cars brakes naturally lock up the rear? i just drive i dont really know what happens.
That Miata driver was holding his line like a madman! Keeping up on the corners while taking the outside line is the ultimate corner defense.
Every time i thought you let him behind you look to your right or left and he is there jajaja. amazing.

that's pretty neat you guys never once bumped into eachother's cars and respected your lanes / lines. I wondered what would happen if the 86 had a more aggressive line, like if you went into the corners faster, what would happen? seems like the 86 had more power on straightaways as it pulls, but Miata always recovers fast pulling out from a corner, probably has a closer gear ratio? in anycase, wanna watch a rematch!

damn it is irritatingly good to watch how good some of the sim players have become. really cool slidy driving style I loved this battle really much, was so more fun then other Assetto videos (of course others are fun but your video is better then many other videos in my opinion) the only thing that I didn't uderstood is: why you didn't show the replay when you did the overtake? I mean in other parts you showed the replay and here no? why?

Damn, that was a good battle of endurence, like the both of you have a lot of nerve to keep your cool when doing moves. Also that Miata turning it from being past, to passing you like he is the one making a move was amazing. Like those two in the last corner of the 4 harpins and the last corner of the downhill.

I wached the anime in 1 week and I have hype of drift but is very difficult! I did it 2 years ago with asseto just a bit but now I forgot everything and I must start again :( And theAE86 is not car fir start ti drift XD
But I already discovered videos of people on assetto like this one and I'm in love XD

very nice! though i remember the 86 being quite a bit faster than the miata when i did some time trials at akina with them. did you alter one of the cars slightly to even them out or were you just holding back a little?
You could tell the 86 had a significant horsepower advantage. And it started behind so it definitely went faster overall.
@@paint4r it was the stock ae86, has 128 horsepower, the miata had 130 horsepower might be mistaken though but thats def the stock

Hey man these touges are sick! I have a question I tried googling but am struggling to answer: I'm playing the same game with a CV1 and streaming through OBS. my video stream comes out weird because it's like the output to stream is a vertically cut off part of what i see which results in the viewer seeing like the bottom 50% of the picture i'm seeing, kind of looks like the driver is staring down at the steering wheel. How did you bypass this? And once again I can't stop watching these touge battles, it's so fucking fun.

MX5 is clear winner here. He did a great job holding AE86 behind him, Toyota had more horse powers and that what kept it near MX5. The fact Mazda(as a less powerful car)got to the finish line at the time 86 did is speaking for itself. You both did a great job there anyway!
86 had less power, and Miata had less weight so it's obvious which car had better power/weight ratio. Plus the 86 had stock steering wheel, that much was enough of a giveaway that it's stock with custom livery, not the Tuned or Group A variant.
Thah both cars are from assetto corsa japanese pack cars and i agree, that miata has more hp(at least ui said that) but for real, miata's pace is much much slower. If you search for wrs on akina 2017 track, ae86's time is around 5:36 and miata's 5:41, and miata is slower generally.
