Cicada larvae live in underground burrows, with a depth of about 30cm to 2.5m. When it decided to break its cover to get out, photographer Marent saw it leave its burrow and climb a tree, choosing a leaf sturdy enough to support it in completing the process. After about 7 - 10 minutes of clinging to the leaves, the cicadas' molting process slowly begins.
First, the cicada's hard outer shell is separated from its back. From here, according to the description, the cicada gradually breaks its shell and crawls out. This process lasts 4 - 5 minutes. A green larva with a terrifying appearance began to appear.
After completely escaping the body layer, the tick's wings will gradually lengthen. However, at this time, their wings are still soft and wet. The ticks will stick here and wait until their wings are really hard so they can fly. The time it takes for a cicada's wings to become strong is about 5-7 minutes.
More interestingly, the color of the cicada's body also began to gradually change, from green on the whole body, now the wings have turned to a different, more magical, sparkling blue. When their wings are long and strong enough, cicadas can fly up tree branches to suck sap and sing for birth...
