Were you in writing team of season 2 as well?? Also has Dhanjay become a monk or he is just staying at the monastery?
In season 1 there was a slight discrepancy.. Shubh conducted pooja for dhananjay after killing his father. Shubh is shown to be someone with superior knowledge of religion. His doing pooja the very next day doesn't add up coz according to hindu practice Shubh and his family is under sutak.. they can't do or participate in any religious activity for next 10-13 days.

    This is just excellent writing.
My fav part abt it was when shubh explains how Abhimanyu was TRAPPED and his victories were baits to lure him into the chakravyuh.
The little boy asks him why are his stories different from others. He just replies the context and the perspective are different, that’s why.
Really shows you how shubh thinks, he’s a cynic who doesn’t believe in things like bravery, honesty and in general dharma.
That’s how you wrote a character, you just give the viewer a sneakpeak into the mind of the character and let the audience interpret and understand it.

The biggest hero of season 2 is its writing .. Perfect editing, incredible usage of metaphor with mythology & so convincing screenplay with minor loopholes like climax sonic bomb halt. There's a great scope for a prequel decoding Shubh & Vrinda's story before drating third season to match this series in league of True Detective troop ...//

In Season 1 it was shown that Shubh is delusional that he is Kali (the asur after whom this Yug is named) and he is committing the murders to force Vishnu to be reincarnate as Kalki. Just a theory!

And this is exactly what Ravan had actually done. First did tapasya to gain both knowledge and shakti, then decided to play the role of an antagonist and choosed the path of an Asur. Naturally he became so big that no one but Divine himself could kill him. Hence forcing God to incarnate as Ram in Ayodhya and eventually got killed by him to become liberated.
Seems makers have used this very concept and made a crime thriller in 21st century out of it.

vrinda is next asur!!! She was the only one who knows and understands shubh intentions and purpose very well!!! The reason why shubh don't want vrinda to be dead in that ashram is because shubh knows that if he died his ideologies is gonna live forever...and the first person whom shubh tell all his ideologies and purpose is vrinda!! As dj said no one understands shubh more than Vrinda!!! Also when dj asked vrinda about shubh next purpose she only knows that there is one professor jiske bare me vrinda kuch nhi janti thi...lekin kab dubara dj vrinda se milta hai to vrinda usse us college ka naam bhi bta deti hai jaha shubh professor se milne gya tha...jo ki definitely usee shubh ne bola hoga ye kehne ke liye
..kyuki jab dj waha gya to usse pehle hi shubh ka project or uska letter bhi mila tha!!!
Also jab dj vrinda ko bolta hai agar Shubh ko pata chal gya ki tum meri madad kar rhi hai ho to...tab vrinda said in very unusual way ki mujhe shubh ne yhi ye karne ko bola hai(check that part again bro)!!!
And in the last jab dk vrinda ke ghar jata hai to usse asuro.ki painting milti hai...ek ke baad ek jo vrinda ne bnaye hai!!!! Which clearly indicates that vrinda is next asur!!!!

The story, the characters background is well written. I doubt there is anyone as strong as Shubh, motivation wise which makes him a great antagonist. I loved how they introduce anarchy and the steps involved. Asur still has so much potential, Shubh as an antagonist can become an idea rather than just a person, that is when he will truly achieve what he wants, just my POV.

The revelation of the antagonist's identity and motive is a highlight, with a creepy and demonic portrayal that doesn't lose coherence. The dialogues and subplot development are also noteworthy. Reasons for me to believe that DJ Rajput is the main culprit who made Shubh from a psychopath killer to a full fledged Asur (by may be creating the idea in Shubh's head of what he could do on a large scale with his intellect),
    1. The last scene of season 1 where Rasool and DJ look at each other
    2. The fact that DJ kills Nikhil's kidnapper, and then the babysitter lady (I think, both of them had known somehow that DJ is their messiah and were going to say something). Remember how Shubh kills his followers whose task was completed.
    3. Remember when Lolark remarked in the first season that it seems that the killer of DJs wife is walking inside DJs house as if it was his own house. That has to have some meaning.
    4. I think DJs does everything to ruin the life of Nikhil and that is what's happening. This is because in his training days, Nikhil negated DJs proposal of a perfect crime which might have brushed DJ the wrong way and he creates a whole plot to show that Nikhil is wrong.
Just my theory. What do you guys think?
