@@BakedGoods so cool! I remember you even from way back then! I am starting my unmatched strategy series in March so seeing these is awesome to have some great guides already out :)
Another cool video. One request if possible, my 8 year old son loves Unmatched and watched all these strategy videos. If you could avoid the curse words, that'd be great. Thank u!
Would you consider making a kiting strategy guide? So many of your and other people’s guides use these ideas, but there isn’t a RUclips video I can find that covers it.
These are great! When is the next video come out? Im pretty sure you are the only person specificaly doing strategy videos for Unmatched. Keep up the good work!
The next video should be out tonight! Another board game channel called “Lord of the Board” is making some Unmatched videos soon but other than that yeah it’s just me! Thanks!
When you get up to 4 movement you can have the porter run up to a sidekick and then attack. At best he hits for 3 as your opponent might not waste a defense card on the attack, at worse you make your opponent use a defense card. Both seem to be a rather good choice.
I have some idea to balance battles with Arthur. The rule is that your opponent who plays for another hero can't see how much cards u play. What do u think about it? But it may give for Arthur some advantage..
I mean yeah defensively this deck ain’t made for that, but instead of solely going for max damage and all attack, maybe use the movement voyage boost to break the turn cycle and “kite” your opponent like you said. It’s a really flexible deck, movement is definitely powerful
You for sure can control the ‘pace of the game’, your (eventual) immense move value gives you to power to just zoom away from your opponent and make them boost a maneuver to reach you I guess I just like being really aggressive as Sinbad (or just impatient 😂) and putting a lot if pressure on my opponent’s health with the threat of big voyages, which I try to get out ‘ASAP AS POSSIBLE’
Old guy reminiscing: “kiting” as I know it came from mmorpg’s like EverQuest and WoW. We used to call it that because enemies would target you and run toward you when you did a ranged attack, so you’d attack run, attack, run as the mob kept moving forward, while circling around their spawn point so they wouldn’t reset. if you go too far ahead they might reset to their spawn point so you’d have to stay within range of them to keep you targeted but far enough that they can’t hit you. All the stop and go kind of looks like two guys connected by an imaginary rope or someone trying to fly a kite.
Love toil and dagger defensively against a ranged fighter, especially on their second action. With a bit of luck I can get in melee range to hit them with an attack and move out or double attack and not care because I hit them like a truck Edit: By fortune and fate is also useful as feint bait. Either I ping for 1 or I do draw 2.
I agree with both points! Been a while since I posted this so I can’t quite remember what my thoughts were but I now would like to emphasize that with 7 voyages, 3 regroups, 3 porter attacks and a Commanding impact as potential attacks, you really should use most of if not all of your versatile cards on defense. That’s an important detail I wish I stressed more.
@@BakedGoods perhaps you could ‘asterisk’ this in on subtitles. That people could turn on subtitles to see some things you think of differently now, also since opinions could change with new heroes being released and such.
While I haven’t gotten to that point yet personally, I do think Alice is the second funnest character from BoL volume 1. However, I do also think the six characters pre-Bruce Lee tend to be simpler to understand and low in complexity by design, and they are now making the new sets SUPER SPICY so I’m very excited to see where this series goes!
I get killed really really quickly when playing Sinbad lol.... With a 4 player game, you can't really get far enough from your opponents on the map even with your extra movement (specially if both have sidekicks) and with basically the weakest defense in the game, and only 1 healing card (which can be cancelled by a Feint...), well.... Playing Sinbad is hard.. EDIT: beaten Medusa (played by a guy I never could beat before) with Sinbad, once you learn to utilize him, he IS a great character, now is my favorite lol
Damn that's rough. Well, 4 player is a different beast! Although I wouldn't say Sinbad has the weakest defense in the game, he's certainly better than Angel and Robin in that area.
I love these videos man! I was subscribed with my personal. But now my channel is too! You have loads of personality
THANK YOU!!! I’ve been watching your videos since the Root guides and it means a lot to see you actually watch my videos omg!

Going back and watching these gems for the first time
Oh geez Idk about that chief
Dunno how well they have aged
I love the content! This game has so much depth and I'm glad there is someone discussing it. Please keep it up!
Thanks David! I will gladly continue!

THAT is a great suggestion, my bad I sometimes say them without thinking but I will avoid them AT ALL COSTS from now on! 😅

Thank you! Glad to hear it!
btw, congrats on 100 subs!
Thank you!
When is the onion eating video?
Probably Thursday! I did not know how highly anticipated it was

MVPorter
If voyage cards were 3, sindbad would be S tier probably.
Mee-Lee? 😂
It is a running gag that I pronounce that wrong 😂

I have a question. When sinbad plays the vojage home does he get it back with the other vojages ??or it goes in the discard pile
Voyage home goes into the discard pile after being played, while the OTHER voyages go into his hand!
@@BakedGoods thanks

My son used to think the porter sucks too, but now he thinks the porter is one of the best sidekicks
Hmm, any particular reason why?
I used to love Sinbad. He got boring after a few months. Also I would argue that Alice is more fun mechanically.
