Watch out every one! I'm much better at transcribing now and noticed some bugs in the score. Coming up in a few weeks will be an updated edition with free downloadable MIDI in the description and japanese lyrics with the english translations - Stay tuned!
this would be the opportunity to add instructions/musical notation to the score as bonkers as this the music is. My Suggestions: Chaotic Weaboo Jazz Band transforms into sailor sentai Stumble down a hill and crash at the bottom Step into a temporal rift and go back into time to this morning Without breaking wrists Undefined (for the 0/0 time signature) Baka-ly
Mad props for transcribing this. The lyrics made me realize how incredibly self-aware the song is. Like Nanahira is naming the major modes as the synth solo goes through them, just insanity.
Take this humble man's like and comment. It is all I have to give for such amazing work. This music is a beautiful trainwreck isn't it? Like running down a hill, stumbling about, falling over, cartwheeling, rolling, getting back up, see step 1 for 9 minutes.
i've been making midis for 6 years now and this song looked like a nightmare that'll never be possible... yet here you are with almost a full transcription of the track! That's incredible beyond words. I'd love to hear what it sounds like without the original song overlay.
Literally though how did Camellia write this??? If anyone has good links to videos, articles, etc. explaining how to smoothly transition between different odd time signatures it would very much appreciated.
I really really want to try to do an interview with him to ask those questions and his compositional process when writing music as well as behind the scenes like what was nanahira's (the vocalist's) reaction to having to sing over this chart (also how did she learn it. Like did he hand her sheet music to learn or did she listen to the mockup over and over until she got the time in her head) all really interesting stuff I want to know.
blowing my brain at this. I'm trying to have fun/learn stuffs by trying to time this song for the game Osu!. So the game has four modes, and one of them already has this map and yes the map works really well and seems to be timed well enough. Except I feel some of the things the person who timed it did don't work on the standard mode of the game because some of the bpm changes were to match certain aspects of the other mode of the game. In which case I kinda need to review it and fix some of those things and holy crap it aint easy xD That said your transcription might just make that job so much easier. Although one of the big obstacles is the fact that the editor within the game only accepts divisions of 4 for the tempo, which just adds a special difficulty on top of it lol. But thanks for that man. I really appreciate it. Plus i love Camellia and Nanahira so xD
@@blacksun3884 In musescore (the program he's using) you can label a time signature so you can make it say whatever you want. All the program sees in that is meaningless text. You have to specify the [real] time signature going on behind the scenes. For example, his 8/12 is written as 8/12 but (maybe) programmed as 8/8. His 0/0 is almost definitely 1/1, and his -3/4 is just 7/8 (that's what the blue play head is telling me). And that single 2 without a denominator, nobody knows the time signature and bpm for that (I believe he put 2 because its the closest he can get to a question mark), so he pauses until the music catches up.
@@nanamacapagal8342 Yeah exactly right (unfortunately musescore dosnt allow nonnumerical text so I couldn't put a question mark when customizing time signatures) BUT it'll all change in the finalized version coming in a few weeks... (and I'll try and do a theoretical analysis video explaining what camellia is doing from a compositional standpoint)

@@tonyrod3332the video is awesome, can you upload the transcription? I'd like to buy it
The madlad! He even included the bs time signatures like 8/12, 0/0, - 3/4, and just 2

I was trying to figure out the time signatures for hours now, you literally saved my life
I love crazy music, but this just makes me think that Camellia is insane. And this is coming from someone that listens to Ferneyhough

Yeah! I used your CH chart that Jason Paradise played to confirm the rhythm/ time changes
this is freakin blowing my mind! dunno how you were able to transcribe this. Props to you man!
I love the bass in this song so much
Really looking forward to the updated version! I kinda want to show it to my music theory prof just to see his reaction lol

Hey Tony, great work on this! Did you get around to uploading the updated version at all? Or do you have the MIDI available for either version?
you're a life saver
madman
you are a hero
Please listen to the song "青天の黎明(Seiten no Reimei)" and if you can, try to transcribe it into sheet music!
As someone who can read sheet music I have several questions
At this point you are just flexing your transcription skills, right?
Still waiting for the midi track in the description!
June Lee wants to know your location
can I get the MIDI file?
how
Lots of slowed down listening and persistence
@@tonyrod3332 awesome!!

Is this score published?
It could be if I get permission from Camellia himself

I'm more impressed with the black magic fuckery that is -(3/4) at 4:18 . HOW DOES A * NEGATIVE * TIME SIGNATURE WORK????
