I've skipped Blight league and people told me the mechanic received a lot of positive changes since its inception so I had to give it a real good test. It's been fun to afk in blighted maps, click some towers, watch some videos and make ~2 headhunters in currency in the process. All conversions and sales are on a conservative end (rounding down) meaning the real numbers are actually slightly higher than these. Full loot sorting and price checking VODs are in the description.
The numbers:
- 144 maps ran with ~50c per map cost.
- 131+ exalted in pure profit = 0.9 exalt profit per map on avg
- 30 hour runtime = 4.36 exalts per hour = 523 chaos per hour
- Including the 6 hour sorting + selling everything = 3.6 exalts per hour = 432 chaos per hour
- I found ~300 maps (tier 4-16, around equal white/yellow/red spread) they seem to come primarily from the pump loot explosion (middle) so you could get more if you alched them (if map drops are what you're after)
Some possible questions:
Do you hate blighted maps now?
- No, they are actually pretty chill and I could see myself doing more (not in a project like this, just in general).
Why not alch / vaal the maps?
- I did not alch the maps becuase it only buffs the loot from the middle pump, which is less than ~5% of the total loot of the map, while making it more rippier and possibly laggier (beyond can crash it). You can't vaal blighted maps.

devs are to lazy to make one since they didn't even bother to make a in-game auction house or some thing realy usefull to sell your loot

@@plyrni3 eh, there's shit tons of cosmetics and people usually buy tabs for just storing all of their items/leveled skill gems/legacy uniques/etc. Paying money to trade shouldn't be necessary

But i think that the majority of players have bough that premium tab to be able to sell their shit.
And that spend of money can lead to another one, the currency tab.
In that theorical case the devs get like 10 to 15€ depending when it was bought, for a F2P that's pretty good
Let's imagine they bring an AH like we see in many MMO :
- People can post sells for free, no need to spend for a tab
Depending on how they will make it, people could be able to "stock" items into the AH
So that's free item post + free space (which is another loss of money)
If they keep it the way we do actualy (right cliking the item in the tab to give it a price) they can create a need of space, but it can be solved with a good management of the items we keep.
With the AH we lose the first step in the microtransactional world, it will be more difficult to make the players buy for 10 to 15€ just to play the game.
It worked on me, I never spend money on F2P, this one is the exception.
I bought on it because realy liked the game and I felt blocked when i saw that i was unable to sell and store quantities of currencies.
Again if i was new to the game with the AH, it may be possible that i loss interest in buying a new tab. I could buy the currency tab for comfort but i could also just upgrade my currencies to gain space.
In my country (France) buying into a F2P isn't seen well by others in general, the tendancy is changing but still...
So forcing the player to make the first move is determining

The "Sort" button requires programming skills beyond this dimension of existence and nobody, I mean even the "GOD" himself, is not capable of implementing such complex and mind blowing sorting algorithm. It is not even invented yet.

Well fuck, here goes all my profit on blighted maps. Price is going to shoot up for sure. But blighted maps take forever to loot and sort - takes about 20 - 30 minutes per map for me including clearing and stashing everything, so there is probably better time to chaos activities out there.

Did you run all of those maps without alching? I noticed in your map tab they were all white, but you did chisel them so idk, I've read quantity doesn't affect the chests, only the loot explosion

So what you are saying is that a high tier blighted map is close to a 1ex profit per map on average (taking into account the price of the map and annoitment)

So.. I did the math. According to the RMT people you made a little bit over a dollar an hour not counting the time to sort/sell/etc. Accounting for the time to sort and sell it was less than a dollar an hour.
Thankfully the video made you somewhere between a hundred and a few hundred dollars.
I wish. I have terrible CPM on youtube (mostly becuase I chose to swear sometimes) so I even if this video was monetized and not claimed due to the music I used, I'd have made around ~$35.
It's okay thought, my main income is from Twitch, not youtube.

I don't understand the question, the amount of currency you gain from maps doesn't change based on how many stashtabs you have. If you have less space, you have to clear them out more frequently is all.

How do you easily sell items in bulk? in exemple you sold all your white maps at once, there are many items I dont sell because I dont want to bother doing 1 by 1...
I sold the maps to some friends who needed them in bulk, you can list maps for cheap in bulk but it’s probably an adventage of being a streamer with some eyes on me that allowed that mapsale to happen. Maps were less than 5% of the profit though so you could just run them or not sell them at all and get similar results.
Why don't you use software like Exilence? You could just tick blight dump tabs in the program and it would calculate most of the profit by itself.
Exilence and currency cop have inaccuracies and are subject to people pricefixing currency rates. I prefer to do things manually.

I do know this ^^ 6 lucky chests for 5c vs 9 lucky chest for 12c. That’s a no brainer for cost efficiency.
@@Empyriangaming if 3 lucky chests are worth more than 7c the efficiency doesn't matter, it would still be more profitable. Not saying 3 chests are worth 7c or not, you would be able to make that determination better than me

Yes, and this is what I did for almost all Tier 13s. I have to do some stuff at higher tiers (build a few towers, or press summon skeletons a few times)
The point is that not everyone is the streamer and can buy such amount of maps and also self trade for currency or sell shit in bulk. So all of that will take like 3 times longer for normal player
I'll respond here because not only the 'oh this only works if you're streamer' argument is sometimes prevalent but it's factually incorrect.
Firstly, you don't have to buy 144 maps to run blighted maps, you can just buy them as you go, however there are people with 30+ blighted maps listed right now, so if you wanted to, you could definitely buy in bulk without being a streamer.
Secondly, you don't need to neatly organise your stash like I did, you can just sell things as is from a mess of a quadtab, so you can subtract those 2 hours I only did for stream / youtube.
Lastly, I ran the maps INCREDIBLY inefficiently, almost completely afk 70% of the time. I did not instantly start clearing them out once the 5 minute timer expired, we watched youtube videos a lot of the time. You could probably do them within 24 hours instead of 30.

Cc and exilence are inaccurate, and subject to currency price fixer manipulation. I will never use those programs when calculating profits.
Man, you would've saved yourself all that time checking the values in PoE Trade item by item, if you used Currency Cop for an estimate of the whole tab :3

I elected to not trust those programs (Exilence or currency cop) because I've used them before and they are very subject to the volatility of different currency exchanges. I'd rather do it all manually and see those results, I have the time.

Seems like many profited on blighted maps but as these videos pop out one after another the "sheep" will follow and price adapt making it less and less profitable.
They have been constantly rising in price for the past 2 weeks, and even at DOUBLE their current price (as of this comment) they are profitable. Just not as much.

Only adds to the loot explosion not the chests.
It gives very little benefit for possibly screwing up your map. It only buffs the loot from the pump while putting rippy mods that make the maps laggy and possibly crash it (beyond). I opted not to alch them at all, you could prolly do it on lower tiers without many downsides.

It does, it will give you one buff every minute. There are almost no rares in blighted maps.

problem with this you would never sell all of this shit. Calculating their total worth and real convertable value (with realistic time investment) adding that most of us dont have the streamer privi for faster trades i think this is super inflated numbers. Also the time it required you to farm all of these. It is surely more than i ever make XD But still i feel like these are way too inflated numbers. The 130ex profit would mean 1ex profit per map, which seems ridiculous. Do correct me if im wrong tho
It's 0.9 ex profit per map with the conservative numbers I used. The economy changes over time, this is a snapshot of what it was like when I ran them. Golden oils are cheaper, blighted maps are a bit more expensive. I didn't need to sort it beautifully so you can subtract those 2 hours I spent doing that and add it to trading and can expect similar numbers time-wise.

Thank you, yes. People overpay if they can buy in bulk. This goes for fossils, scarabs anything like that. I did no't account for that and used conservative estimates. The entire price checking VOD can be found in the description.

I see you haven't learnt the ways of moving items faster from tab to tab using autoclicker, if you use a autoclicker don't bother with any ahk script rubbish you can do it from logitech software built in... 2020 folks save ya self kripp carpal tunnel injury
