I honestly don't think the community understands what Minecraft 2 is going to be. It will have general things to relate to Minecraft, but not end, and a completely different nether perhaps. And in general, Minecraft doesn't need a sequel. I don't understand why people want one. This isn't some story game, it's just a sandbox game, with infinite possibilities and creativity. People are getting excited for something that isn't coming - and if Notch makes it too similar, Microsoft is going to sue him, since they cut Minecraft relations with Notch long ago.
it needs a sequel, cant u see we get a new mob only once every fucking year because microsoft is just sitting and doing nothing, plus the game is awfully optimised like everyone uses optimisations mods, minecraft rn is cooked and its getting boring, notch had allot of plans for minecraft, if he still wouldve owned it we wouldve probably had tens of new diff biomes and mobs rn but he sold it to microsoft who just care about money and not the players. Minecraft 2 will be fucking awesome.
You’re missing the point. What you’re saying is not a sequel - it’s a change in the way of a game. The sequel will not even be close to Minecraft - maybe general ideas but no same block textures or anything else. Did you even read my full comment?
You seem to be starting out, so I'd like to give my feedback: I had to pause to read notch's statement. I think you could leave such stuff lingering longer on screen to the viewer to read. Some youtubers do this (even more annoying) thing of placing 1 frame texts, which also sucks.
Notch wants to make the spiritual successor to Minecraft, but by the time he finishes his one there will be about two other ‘spiritual successors’ to the game to compete with being Hytale and Reforj.
