The owner probably was using cheap detergents. When it comes to touch-less automatics you have to use quality products and you have know the process of application to simulate friction without touch. Touch-less is the only way to go unless you want your clear coat ruined in 5-6 years. Tunnels with brushes use cheap lubricants and the bushes do the job. Microabrasion weakens the clear coat and could ruin the paint job.
@@Vjl5280 Totally agree with you. Only time I am forced to use a brush car wash is in the deep of winter in CT after snow has fallen and salt is on the roads. You know all car wash places use the same water over and over and over again and they only change it when it starts to smell bad and that might take up to a month or more
50 years....a single bay wash will cost you $6-700k on the light end. Charge on average $15 a wash. Even 20 washes a day is $300 pet day. $300 x 7 days a week is $2100 a week. $2100 x 52 weeks is $109k. This is an extremely low average of washes per day and some wash cycles can cost the customer up to $25 a wash. So your yearly total would be somewhere between $109k and $160k on the low side. Add it in a place with salted roads during the winter, and you be fine.
A small business idea is for you to buy a gas powered lawn mower, a scythe and plant shears, put it on the back of your 2001 RAM and go out advertising your gardening business. On the other hand, for an in-bay automatic car wash you are looking at a minimum of $250,000 per bay according to ISS. $25k for the machine and about $500 - 2500 as monthly rent for a garage depending on where you stay. Add salary for staff $20-80 depending on the city. Viable only in cities where per capita income and per capita car ownership is above a certain level. This set up would easily service 80-100 cars per day but will there be those many cars (demand) 7 days of the week is debatable. $5 per wash without any wax or fine-scrubbing/ spa treatment would easily breakeven in 2 yrs incl. salary, rent, maintenance and sunk cost/investment. @@allegorx58 There isn't much mention of touchless systems in the 1970s in the USA, and even if there were, I doubt they would be as good as the ones available today due to modern electronics and computer-controlled mechanical systems.
Imagine there is a conveyor belt that automatically pulls the car through the washing system - mind blowing! 😂
Yeah, one of these would be way too hard to compete with the big guys with the tunnel car washes
$100k plus budget. Remember you have to have a water filtration and recycling system as well.
And 3 phase electric, high draw traffic area for lication that neans hwavt land rent eaxh month, drainage system, although I believe it recycles most of its water it still has to drain some of it
Yeah, we did it a lot cheaper in the USAF in the 80's when we cleaned our fleet of trucks. A simple arch of 4" steel pipe with several holes drilled and fitted with spray nozzles. Just drove them thru when we returned to the yard. Always wanted to build a scaled down version to keep my car free of salt.
Never found "touchless" to get the car squeaky clean. Good for removing dust.
But you don't want squeaky clean, that means there's still dirt or build up left.😉
Don't know if you know, but every automatic car wash does this. They just also use brushes to actually lift dirt off of the clear coat. And very strong cleaning agents that makes those brushes scratch your clear coat a lot.
They use cloths where I am from no brushes but same crap full of everyone else's dirt
It’s better than the regular washes that scratch the paint with the brushes
This guy knows. brushes suck.
Ask ur car washers to use hard foams instead of metal brushes😊
@@cerealbucketcoasterthe foam ones sucks dirt n sap too
Comments crack me up. This isn’t a full detail service to get every piece of bird poop, insect splatter, iron/water spots, etc. This touchless wash MAINTAINS a car after said detail.
maintenance washes are meant to keep it as clean as when it was detailed for as long as possible, if it can’t do that it’s pointless.
Love bugs in Florida & Georgia would be laughing they're assess off at this thing!
They must not know how to keep up high end vehicles. Nobody with a luxury car wants a bunch of scratches and swirl marks in there paint.
Nice idea, suds need to be left longer for it to work.
Never remove all the road grime. It will have a film all over it when it drys
YES the dam dirty rocker panels are in it for the long run 🤣
Where I come from, It's $2 per car. 2 boys will clean your car in and out. They will even give you paper to step on when you get back in.
Now thats a brushless Car-wash 👍
Unfortunately there will be a road film left over that you can only remove by physically wiping or brushing the car.
Soap needs more coverage and dwell time!
Hand wash is the only way to go, car wash brushes damage your paint ,its a fact, use a car wash only when you absolutely have to
But here there are not brushes
Not sure what kind of crappy paint u got on ur car. Wash all my cars in a car wash. Never damaged anything
@@user-iw7ng6ox2p got high dollar paint thats why I dont trust car washes like you low lifes hahahaha
Get another car!
@@KaL_Terow I have too many high end cars already

We need 1 here!
I’m saving for one of these small budget businesses and I’m only 5$ short now 🎉
I'm definitely gonna look into it.
These car washes are for minor dirt, u can see spots the foam doesn't even cover... but these touch free car washes are definitely better then the old style ones that have flaps and spinning things that smack you car...
Wish there was one like this near me!
😂😂
Nice idea, but I find that washing my own car the old fashioned way to be very therapeutic.
"Nothing better than a Hand Cleaning Job" Said the Poor Me
It's much more advanced than the old-fashioned car washes that use rotating brushes to slam things down.
That's cool but nothing beats child labor🗿
If you can buy a washing machine and dryer for your cothes, why not a car wash for your car. Sounds awesome!
It is wow with advanced technology
I wish Sydney has this!!!
There one of these a few miles from me it good and fast 👍
This is a great way to get the bigger dirt off. Making car ready to wash. The only problem I have is the price. The wash has doubled in last 4 years. Only one local is $25 . F that.....
Nice. Where and how can I make an order?
As soon as you drive away, and your car dries you realize your car wasn’t really washed
What Toyota is that model damn looks pretty cool!
I couldn't see the fine mist being sprayed in the first pass and thought it was the world's largest 3D printer scanner.
Provided that avg cap utilization per wk is above 80%
I have already looked into this it starts at 50k-250k depending on equipment
It's better than brush washing. Can avoid from scraching car paint.
extreme high pressure can also affect the lifespan of your car paintwork
This would have been great if it was a paint booth.
Small budget are you here? small budget where are you? ....
1000 year later: Still no answer!! Lol
The pressure on that thing must be insane.
So nice idea👍
These have been around for decades. 🇦🇺 When was this filmed?
