She and Bridget occupied the two of the last 3 spots (joint 11th position) to make the finals and eventually finished top 3 to make Olympic team. The gamble she made with her coach paid off. What a story. Hope they will be more consistent in Paris as 4.35m is likely not enough to make finals in Paris.

I doubt she will medal. But the Olympic experience will serve her well in future as she is still young.
Feel bad for Morris who missed out
Medal now rest on shoulders of Katie Moon and Bridget Williams. Though Bridget is better and more season than King, she has to contend with top notch pole vaulters such as Molly Caudery and Nina Kennedy.

Anything can happen! Brynn is a strong Rep. for the United States. She is consistent and has big jumps in her future. Don't count her out before the Prelim. has even begun. Remember, she added a foot and a half this year under the expert guidance of Jenn and Rick Schurr.

@@jennafranklin8375 Just being realistic. To medal, she need to be a consistent 4.75 jumper and occasional 4.85 m jumper. She hasnt reached tjat level yet.

@@juliesroadtrip She only has one jump over 4.7 m at 4.73 m. Yeah she may register more in future but Paris is just around the corner.

@@juliesroadtripJust to add. Yeah under tutelage of Jenn Suhr and her husband, Brynn King will continue to do well and improve. I am not saying she doesnt deserve the Olympic spot. I just feel she has not shown enough results to show that she can medal in Paris.
