I did send about 30 boxes from Japan back to Berlin, where I'd been keeping my boxes in storage since 2010. My main base is still Berlin, and I actually have quite a lot: every letter anyone's ever written to me, for instance, and every homeburn CD, and an enormous archive of my own notebooks and journals. Not to mention thousands of tatty Penguins.
Interesting about when mtv culture was drawing your attention... so the things that excite are from the past? Is that a result of contemporary culture being dull or just the point you are at in life? Will we ever return to music videos being cultural currency?
