Regardless of whether it was real or just a joke, there's nothing funny about what Nick is setting up all these kids for.

He shouldn't be expected to move on, but the problem is that he's refusing to offer that same empathy for Jada.
Being slapped on live television is embarrassing but so is having a medical condition that is out of your control be used as a punchline.
