    Things I loved about this video:
    1 the agility, dynamism and fluidity of the fights. All of you seam to know by heart all the moves you have to do and don't hold back, not even a little bit, there are some powerful scenes in this video! You really look like you actually want to kill the opponent😄
    To me this was sometimes scary to watch because you don't wear protection and use metal weapons, seeing such confidence in all of you while doing such incredible coreographyes is just amazing and I don't see this level of dedication in other channels, this is really unique!
    2 the camera work is amazing and has some scenes that are gold and make the fight look so dynamic and powerful
    3 the master. I loved watching your master fight, it was a surprise to me and the last movement he did was AMAZING😱 better than many films and tv shows
    4 the sounds. That goes for all your videos. I really appreciate listening to the sound that the weapons make. In general, HEMA videos are all like this but because you really clash the swords with a lot of strength the sound is different and make me think this is how a real sword fight would look and sound. Unlike Hollywood and it's exaggerated sounds that hide the fact that they use plastic swords or aluminium swords.
    I just want to say you all are incredible. A year ago, when I didn't know the channel's name, I would just call you "the channel with the big balls guys who try to kill each other"😁
    I really think you have balls of steel and are capable of anything!
    I'm just a regular student with no job 🤣 but if I had like a lot of money I would hire you all to make a film!
    I hope the guys who actually have a lot of money watch your videos and hire you, good luck, I wish you lots of success!!!

You'd have to be godlike to go in this hard in every fight and survive multiple times I think. • @xyxxanx9810
      @xyxxanx9810 4 года назад +6

      The problem is, that polearms are very dangerous to use in training or show-fights, as they have a lot more percussive impact than swords. The only polearm you could use with reasonable safety would be a spear, but swinging a poleaxe or a halberd at someone might end up lethal.

      Fun thing was, during that time, pistol duels were far more safe than duels with blades. ;)

      @@Coffeehouse_Latte that actually might be true because pistols can hit a non fatal spot (if the shooter chooses to) while a sword, one cut and your blood goes splat.

    I know a lot of this is camera angles, but DAMN the control and timing perception you guys must need to look like you're striking with intent to a target without actually hitting them is insane.

    The number of different martial arts at play in this choreo is nuts. German longsword & messer, Mair's sickle system, Bologonese or Spanish rapier/dual swords stuff, msc. sword & shield stuff, ringen, various European dagger systes, some Eastern sword stuff thrown in, and judo.
