Even as a representation of Depression, I can already tell she's a sweetheart. She'd probably be a Guide, but the fact that she's likely too tired to care makes her neither Guide nor Monster. She just lives through the days aimlessly, looking for something but never knowing what it is, so she collects junk to fill the void. But it only holds her down more.

@@EC-te9fc Not usually lol the tapping the foot/bouncing you legs yes but the hyperactivity isn’t always there. In fact, for females, we rarely deal with hyperactivity when we have ADHD. I have been diagnosed with ADHD, Autism, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I have my own idea for a creature or wanderer based on GAD.
Anxietus or Panicia depending if you personify it male or female, though I see it as nonbinary. They are a wonderer created by the Anxiety and panic that often haunts the human race. It's body is tall and lanky, looming over others like a tree in a forest, their body is covered in scratches and claw marks from their own spindly hands that grasp and dig into their own flesh from its own worry. This being has multiple eyes, showing hyper awareness for every little detail that worries it. Because of its own constant worrying and fear, it will often try to hide its face behind its hands, however even ignoring or hiding from the world around it does not lessen its own anxieties of things. This wanderer is very shy, hiding away from most and rarely seen, when it does encounter other living beings, it will freeze up, unable to move and just staring at the one who saw it. Those who are caught in its gaze get a feeling of impending doom that washes over them, like your world is falling apart around you, and you become acutely aware of all the noises around you being too loud. The only way to stop this effect is to close one's eyes, and practice breathing exercises to calm oneself, allowing this wanderer to flee while you calm yourself down.

Wow, my eyes are honestly welling up right now, this is so, RIGHT! That's me in a nutshell... I have no money to afford such skillful and honest piece of art, but can more than appreciate it. It truly brought feelings out in me. And memories. It's amazing, thank you!!!!, for sharing this work! I'm so going to screenshot this! 🎯🤘🏼

I love the eyes, the exhaustion has always been the hardest part for me and it's not always talked about. Just feeling so drained and empty, wanting to sleep but never feeling rested after waking up. This is such a validating piece of art, helps me fight against the fear that the depression isn't real, that I'm just weak and lazy. I would love to see your depiction of other "invisible illnesses." It feels easier to fight something if you can see it.

Thank you for making her into something we have sympathy for instead of making it "the source of depression" as I first expected when I clicked on the video.
Though I suffer from a minor depression, I still know those feelings you mentioned, not being able to see the good or put our suffering into words.
I want to give that ol' Deprimere a big hug now. And bake her nice smelling stuff, and play pretty music since she still has a nose and ears.

This has made me so emotional. The no energy to do anything, the overwhelmbing tiredness, and sadness that doesnt want to leave you. Then you feel guilty for not doing all the tasks you had to do that day then you feel like you cant catch up. Its a nasty cycle

she honestly looks adorable and beautiful in a way, and i think she would be a neutral creature in the mutant universe!

I like how you’ve put a bunch of random items on her, because as someone with clinical depression I can definitely say that you can tend to hold onto things that are essentially useless but have an emotional value to them. I still have many things from my childhood that I have zero use for. Most of them being small items now in a shoebox tote, I’ve managed to let go of the larger items that would take up space.

Great job, she is a perfect representation of depression. I love the things piled up on her back, like the weight of the world is sitting on her shoulders. In her story she collapses and that reminds me of the time spent in hospital recovering. Love this sculpt.

I have an awful chronic illness called PMDD, basically debilitating PMS + many other uncomfortable symptoms. Some therapists in the past have suggested that I ‘draw my illness’, but it’s never really been cathartic to me. Clay is more up my alley, very thankful that YT was cool for once by suggesting such a neat channel! This is so cool

I love her the most at that moment after you attached all the accessories to her head, when she was just clay and accessories and nothing more. Like around the 7:50 mark.
And then the vibe was of a hoarder.. you should make a hoarder mutant.. 😍
Actually, Deprimere could just be a mutant of hoarding, not depression, it would finally be more nuanced and less obvious/in your face than the other characters you’ve made and I love that.
Hoarders are characterized by getting so overwhelmed by the possessions they collect or appreciate that they can’t find a place to sit down, wash or even sleep properly, because any space that’s a little empty can be used for another hoard.

Really impressive. My depression felt like a gray rain cloud over my head. Everything I did was wrong. I took every blame on myself, even if I had nothing to do with it. Laughing was a social reflex, but it felt wrong to laugh later. But i like your presentation.

I lost my mom last year and let me say, this really sums depression up really well. I have never dealt with depression really. Sadness yes, but true gripping depression, I had no idea until the death of my mom. It has changed me in ways I am still trying just to even get a grasp on! I work with stained glass myself and I have thrown myself into my art but sometimes it isn't even enough to pull me up. It is an utter nightmare.

Oh my! You sculpted me...Yes this is what depression looks like, always tired, in pain because of my arthritis, shuffling along, repeating the day. The death of my mother was the worse, last 2 years with the death of my aunt and my father 18 months ago..not covid related, they were in their 90´s, but still unexpected, could not stop crying, thought it was my fault, but no. Art gets you out of that black hole, so drawing, making tags, anything, writing stories or poetry, what ever floats your boat. She is gorgeous.xxx

I have just watched your last two videos out of order, and I have just seen Angor who made me feel so sorry for anyone struggling with Anxiety, but depression is way, way worse! I have a past with both Anxiety and Depression and my heart goes out to anyone who is struggling with those dark emotions.
I've said it in the other video Anthony...You are a Master Maker! Your gift is not just the sculpting side of things, but the creation of creatures with amazing backstories. You are a multi faceted individual of the most incredible kind. A true story teller in clay and the histories you create for your creations. You should consider teaching what you do so well. I for one, would love to learn from you. God be with you and your family and all those you love. Have a great day.
