So if there was any data on partition #2 it will have been erased. Right? Is formatting the the partition the only way to unlock it? I have data on my drive and I try to do a system recovery and It says the the hard drive is locked.

I tried this method on my Sony laptop , but can't complete the format , it's done till 99% and then show can't complete format because the size of the disk is too big . Don't know what to do after this !!
