Good video pays off big time for Pomplamoose and Luca Stricagnoli. Luca dropped his fingerstyle version of My Sharona the other day he's got twice as many views in 2 days as you got for this in 10 days. His girlfriend's a pro video maker and it really shows. Don't know if he's been to the International Fingerstyle in Wingfield, but should enter. He's a winner for sure!
Kent was the winner on National Fingerstyle Guitar competition "Fingerpicking Day 2017" in Japan when he was 14 years old.
As I have respected not only the International Fingerstyle Guitar competition in Winfield and other competitions there but Walnut Valley Festival where I had been for enjoying the whole festival three times, I don't mean to speak ill of it at all. However, seriously speaking, I have heard that the International Fingerstyle Guitar contest in Wingfield is advantageous to galloping style (country) guitarists (like Chet Atkins, Merle Travis, Tommy Emmanuel, etc.) than contemporary styled guitarists (Michael Hedges, Andy McKee, Don Ross, etc,). In other words, it's gonna be difficult for Kent to be rated very high among the judges. In fact, it seems that 14-year-old Kent was not interested in attending the competition at all at the time. :-)
