MaashaaAllaah. I was very fortunate to visit this iconic beauty . Its simply majestic and its memory still with me even after 35 years. May Allaah protect it and its people . Very hospitable kind people i met . Always willing to share even if its a cup of tea. Not wealthy but rich at heart. This video at fajr time is so serene and calm. Its great therapy. when sun is out the ground burns but there in the mosque there is a white carpet like marble patch which is real sang-e-mar mar stone, it always remains cool you can walk on it, that's why it was placed. It always remains cool even in scorching heat

this mosque very modern and peacefull. But my number 1 is Hagia Sofia. The peace of mind of worshiping in a place where God has been worshiped for 2000 years is indescribable.

in my travels I have noticed that churches and Mosques are always beautiful and many are extravagantly decorated.
And temples
A mosque should be a simple empty less mesmerising place to worship Allah not a place where it takes away your attention whilst being in front of Allah..This was the sunnah of our prophet (Sallahu aleyhem wa Salam)
I understand that a mosque's primary purpose is of course to facilitate worship and foster community but maybe a mosque can also be beautiful and intricate so it can serve to inspire awe and reverence for Allah's creation and creativity? As long as the mosque does not distract from its primary role as a place to worship surely it can be seen as a form of honouring and glorifying Allah? JazzakAllah Khair

23:50 I swear to God I thought I just saw a huge swimming pool inside of a mosque, those shiny blue marble floor confused me, I thought I was going to see snooker tables and shisha lounge next inside the mosque, who knows we’ll probably be seeing mosque like that soon the way it’s going with turning these places of worship into tourist attraction they’ll end up like this.
