I chose Excalibur when I first started about a year ago and played a few hours during a slow season of Destiny 2. Picked it back up a week ago and am now at MR6 and have ZERO regrets with picking Excalibur. That being said, I picked Volt for the Duviri quest, and he was definitely fun.

I picked Volt because of his speedrunning capacity. My gameplan was this : The faster I can clean missions, the faster I can get ressources. The more ressources I have, the bigger my arsenal will get. The bigger my arsenal is, the bigger my damages are. And this gameplan iterates on itself. So I'm farming the game at a ridiculous pace. Even if my spells don't insta kill monsters anymore, the speed boost + barrier + my enhanced guns are insanely efficient
I used excel for my first account. Made me feel the game was slow since I didn’t even have a stance mod for his 4th ability yet. Until I made a new account chose volt. That one frame carried me through MR8 just leveling all the base weapons and easily farmable ones through the credit shop. Finally mr18 and I can say mag is my fav of all 3. She’s definitely meant for more
Volt was always my starter even when I first started the game its just faster to clear statcharts plus he's pretty reliable on any team his state boosts are dope
I remember Loki being a starter frame.. worked hard for volt only to then stop for a while and finding out that Loki was removed from the starter frames and replaced with volt..
Personally. Id say volt/Mag. Volt because I love him, and because clan requirment (saves the stress of clan necesities early game for a very fun frame) Mag because you require Jupiter and difficult resourses to get her. Dont choose Excalibur as you can get him almost immediately regardless
Hi, I'm someone who chose volt as a starter frame and acquired an Excalibur a few planets later in my progression and my recommendation is that you should definitely go with Excalibur, he's just so much easier for everything when you're a new player regardless if it is survivability, damage or quick CC, a great all rounder. When i finally acquired my Excalibur and took hik for a spin I found that his abilities were literally perfect for a newer player who did not have access to all the fancy mods and simply needed a great jack of all trades that could handle itself while they progressed across the star chart, he gives you a good wife area damage and stagger, a great exalted weapon to do damage (and if you put in a small new player friendly investment you can get the chromatic blade Augment which makes him a whole lot better in the damage department) and an amazing CC that opens enemies up to finisher attacks after blinding them. Oh and did I mention he looks hella cool?
Its Mag by far in my opinion . I've just made a second account and chose Mag this time. My god once you get the basic Warframe mods, she makes the starchart a joke. Also has great survivability due to massive overshileds and also makes junctions a breeze with her 2nd. Absolutely loving mag on my new account.
You get mag pretty early in the game, though. By the time you have the mods, you'll be able to build a mag. Volt is deadly out of the box and far more useful in the early game. Volt can force stealth by spamming shock. If everything is stunned, no alert can happen. And shock is silent, so it won't draw in more enemies. Basically, volt and mag have the same starting damage potential, but volt is more useful before the true potential of the frame is reached. Excalibur is hack and slash easy mode. Just keep slide slashing to win. I do not like it, but then again, I was forced to have it as my first frame because my account was started before this game had a story.
Out of all warframes Excalibur along side Mag are most sane looking ones in the game: they looking more like an exo suits rather than f*cking xenomorphs.

My friends forced me to pick mag but I'm glad they did cause I really enjoy the playstyle. I am a good 150 hours and MR11 and I love playing caster frames.
Regarding the two versions of Excalibur... I don't recommend giving up the basic version. Keep both as they are different enough given mod polarities. Let Excal regular follow the usual path, and the Umbra, follow the Umbral path. (If you know what I mean. 😉👍)
I hope someone sees this comment. Mag is the best. Pull is the perfect level 1 ability. Long range aoe damage that clears everything in front of you. 2nd ability is essentially a big damage buff to melt tough single targets. Eventually you will get into ability 3 and 4. Ability 3 if one of the best debuffs in the game. Ability 4 is overshield essentially. But it also does great damage. Mag is the big brain pick. I have all three and mag wins every time.
Volt personally. It helped me understand mechanics needed for the later, more difficult content. Movement in this game is beautiful, Volt promotes the use of it. But im bias.
Good points. I picked mag in 2013 because magneto is one of my favorite characters. Dropped the game quickly. After being disappointed by mass effect andromedas multiplayer (i played countless hours of me3s multiplayer) I saw someone in a thread mention warframe as a good alternative to the mass effect multiplayer and i came back in 2016. I struggled with her until post second dream when i could go crazy with her abilities. Frost prime and rhino carried me to the mid game.
If you are a brand new player. Don't watch this video. Just pick who you think looks cool. The video also has spoilers for the main story so be careful. All 3 starter warframes are fun to play and by the time you need to chose frames based on strength, you will have all 3 anyway.
@@MHBlacky_ENG Mag's bubble is another specter-killer. I had only trouble with one specter, I don't recall its name, it was dropping the bubble somehow. In most of the cases, enter the room, cast the bubble and enjoy the enemy killing itself with the "little bit" of your help of shooting anything into that direction.
for me excalibur was the best starter... played on playstation years ago when i friend got me into it. when i moved to pc as a solo player i tryed mag.. she was super fun to use in missions but the boss fights was a pain to do on her so i farm excalibur and had no problems. as soon as a got gara unlocked she became my main because of how tanky she was. big skill issue on my side because am not good at shooters. imo if u are not good at shooters go excalibur untill u find a warframe u like.. thats just me tho
If you're trying to be good with your Mastery XP, starting with Volt is a good option because he's the only starter Warframe that needs clan research to get his blueprints.
You have to join a clan to progress anyway. You can't have a railjack if you don't have a dojo. You can't do a bunch of the quests if you don't have a railjack. Plus you'd miss out on a ton of easy resources if you didn't have one. And there's plenty of established clans that will take a new player, so the clan reason shouldn't even be a thought. But take volt anyway. It's the best starter just because shock is so spammable and long range. Also it homes in on targets around corners and through doors. It's also silent and doesn't break stealth.
@@nathanjohnston9762 You don't need a Dry Dock in a dojo to get a Railjack. You can do it through Relays no problem. (unless they took it out recently)
Volt is always my favorite starter, but mag is a pretty decent starter as well. Especially when as a new player i didnt get a new frame UNTIL the sacrifice. I am now L3
I chose Volt and I haven't regretted it a single time. I don't use him that much anymore (aside from some specific game modes), but it's definitely great to have him in your arsenal. Mag is a great warframe that certainly requires some skill to play well. I wouldn't say I'm an expert, but I enjoy playing with her quite a bit. Excalibur is honestly one of my least favourite warframes. I don't' think I ever used him after leveling him up to MR30. His improved version is a bit more fun to use, but, when it comes to melee-centered warframes, I prefer the others (for example, Garuda). I'm glad you're keeping your beginner guide up-to-date. They really helped me when I started the game. And I hope they will keep on helping a lot of people get into this gem of a game. :)

I picked Excalibur Because back then I knew nothing about the Game and saw his name and went “Oh Sweet a Swordsman!” But yeah..still have that same Excalibur in my box as I roll around mostly in Umbra and Nidus Prime now..But certainly have lots of good memories of Excalibur through the years.
My opinion is this Pick Volt He's the Reigning meta King And you get Excalibur Umbra Free After a certain point So, you won't need regular Ex Mag is easy, buy or farm And you can get Rhino easy enough too if you need something tankier
@@sxared623 however, wisp, mag/mag prime, garuda prime, mirage/mirage prime, dante, gauss prime, zephyr/ zephyr prime, nekros/nekros prime, styanax (in some cases), revenant/revenant prime are all better than excal umbra, and most of these frames are easily farmable and found in the dojo research

5:30 well i started with volt and volt's shield makes u immortal vs ranged so its the same, i press3 ->i throw a xoris-> detonate it and thefight is over.
I'd recommend Volt. Shock costs very little to cast and takes out 6 enemies from a ridiculous distance until later on. You can spam it forever. It doesn't trigger enemy aggro if you're in stealth. The speed buff is useful for the whole game, and will save a lot of time getting to extraction. Excalibur is boring (and I didn't get to choose my starter because my account is OLD, so I was suck with it for a long time), and mag doesn't have the versatility or energy efficiency that volt has. Volt is the best starter mechanically. Excalibur is for people who want to slide attack all the time. Mag is an excellent caster but requires mid game mods to work properly.
Wish they still had Loki as a starter frame. He was my first frame, it would be nice if they had a stealth frame to start for those who like that style.

Making a new account for iOS soon. I love the idea of Excalibur, a fast moving space knight that slashes everything with swords, but his base appearance is VERY meh. It’s a latex suit with a nose horn. Umbra looks amazing though, looking like an actual knight. Mag has a better appearance. I really hope that Pull and Crush can carry me through, as those actually look cool. Edit: Mag is very forgiving if you dislike shooters, or like but royally suck at them. Pull yoinks everything that’s on screen over to your melee range. Pull, walk forward, slash. Easy. No real aiming necessary. Magnetize helps the shooter haters too. It’s hard to shoot a skinny little dude, throw a bubble onto him, and now it’s FAR easier to shoot a bubble. It’s gun play without the aiming. So that’s one more thing to consider.
Excal: Pros : Simple to play and understand Cons : Exalted is the only started channeled ability, and one thing newer players absolutely suffer from energy economy, and supporting a constant drain is rough. Also the EB requires its own resources in mods and possibly Forma. Again straining new players even more. Also while Excal can blind (most) things at short range, thats about it for his defensive abiities so he can be rough from a survival standpoint. Volt: Pros : He's also pretty basic to understand. And he has a lot more versatility then Excal. Cons : He's billed as the damage dealer and he's not actually great at that, especially early on for various reasons. A newer player will definitely run out of energy chasing this ghost idea of a nuking Volt rather then a support frame. Mag: Pros : Mag is the only one of the three that can heal. She also is the only one that has a counter for shields and armor which will become important as a mid-game starts to set in. Cons : Also very energy hungry. And her abilities are kind of complex to understand and/or described poorly.
If a new player does their research, and knows what to trade for to do an energy build… Excal’s energy problem basically goes away. I’d prefer the slow drain over a single cast taking away larger chunks of energy. I gain energy by merely existing with my build. 😂
Excalibur's simplicity is exactly why Umbra is the only Frame I really use, aside from Ivara Prime for stealth. The most "complicated" thing I have for him is the Furious Javelin augment, which is pretty damn simple. Use Radial Javelin, more enemies hit the more attack boost you get for a short duration. Simple yet brutally effective. Other than that I basically never use any other Frames. I will collect the Primes, but I will never use them.
As long as you're enjoying, that's perfectly fine ^^ The Radial Javelin Augment is good indeed but I left it out in this vid because people just starting will take quite some time to get Augments xD
@@MHBlacky_ENG i know, and that's entirely fair, it's just an example of him still being mostly simple even in late game, with a few augments being exceptions that require slightly more thought than others. And it's not like I bother with Steel Path, so I'm not really forced to push too far beyond where I'm currently at in power for the time being. I'm mostly just enjoying the story as new bits of it release, and occasionally doing light grinding for Focus, as i do want to eventually max them all out and get each one's banner from Represent.
In my opinion volt is the best starter when you wanna feel like a strong character the volt speed feels very nice even with just some beginner mods The shield gives a noticable damage buff and with the change that it doenst drain energy when carrying anymore just makes it a good ability to start with And the ult while not being very strong without the right build it still nukes normal starchart enemies that a beginner should face so up to lvl 30s and most importantly it makes you feel badass because lightning=cool
Talking about Deimos or whatever, is one of the bosses that i got to play against alone as no one joined and the mission failed when he had 1/4 hp left. I noticed that there are some issues with damage scaling. Character is maxed, weapons are maxed, have all the mods available installed, i haven't upgraded any but some that i got are already upgraded, just that i don't have enough for all weapons or too many for some and can't install all of them because of the limit. In any case being part of road to uncovering systems so kind of seems part of the natural path of progression, you should get items from traversing that path that are good enough to let you go further. And to top it off, the bosses have invulnerability times and specific hit zones. Like is not bad enough your character is too weak damage wise, you have a lot of down time too. Making the battle take a lot of time and in some cases the game kick you out and mission fail. So far my beginner experience makes me think that this is a bad game even though i'm pleasantly surprised by how it looks and how the character moves and whatnot.
as a excalibur main, I actually really enjoy his first ability lol, also, for the junctions, i found it easy to suspend them in the air by spamming slam attacks, so that might help others that dont pick excalibur :D
the sole reason why I choose volt as my starter is the fact from his kit I could 1.shoot lighting (super helpful in early game since it barely takes energy) 2.speed cuz speed 3.shield has saved me alot of times and it's kinda fun to pick it up and place it anywhere 4.about to die? why not die with everyone? (i usually only spam discharge when I'm getting jumped by a horde cuz it's just fun)
Back in the day I picked Excalibur. Still have him. Wanted Volt badly, but back then starters were Excalibur-Mag-Loki. Excalibur sounded most universal, Mag sounded too magicky, Loki rogue-ish. It kinda worked. I loved Umbra, but I got him after I returned to the game after some years, so I did not play him as much.
@@MHBlacky_ENG just watch some random YT'ers lets play WF for the first time and you know it ^^. Edit: I did it. After the quest step: raid the corpus resourche caches' you get the mod for free. And it isn't broken anymore since DE removed gaining broken mods. So yes, you don't have to farm it from Lephantis anymore.
5:23 wait, people have problems beating specters? This either means they don’t know what mods are, or they’re moving way too fast. The only time I have lost to a specter was when I forgot to take off the dragon keys after vault-hunting
I just chose Excalibur and even ythough i dont rly use it,it was my first rver when i first started laying a few years ago and used it for 10 hrs unitil i got rhino .i just started again and have been enjoying it "He was the first"
It would have been interesting if you had made a comparison of the way those warframes avoid bullets. Excalibur blinds enemies so they don't shoot at him, Volt creates the shield and Mag can hold 2 to do that and also absorbs all the bullets she can and returns them to the enemy
Volt speed and shield. Tank + agility in one. Late game damage god and his passive is completely useless late game but early game damage god. He’ll fall off slightly in mid game but who cares. Yes I’m biased.
Yes, her 1st, 2nd, and 3rd ability will outright kill most things for the first half of the star chart, and her 2nd will trivialize every junction. Honestly the game isn't very hard. Eventually you will have to play some other frames though to level up your mastery rank. But you can just max them out quickly for the XP and swap back

I picked mag, honestly a mistake. My experience was a serious cripple early game... Yes I know mag is an Atier Frame, but she is not new player friendly.
It might vary from player to player. Having a 2nd ability with 2 casting modes might be confusing but I actually found her incredibly easy to use. I've been playing since late december last year, I have 9 frames now but she remains my fav.
you say for mag to get that companion thing but I need these crystals that are extremely rare only from a place called the void which is entirely locked on my map and im way too low level for it??? how can I as a new player even craft this companion blueprint then?
Starting, Its always Volt. Volt is great early game, while the other 2 don't really shine until after you established yourself. Volts first ability will take out large crowds of enemies with 1 hit without it being buffed up. The other 2 until they get some good mods are going to be slow. Volt is fast, and starts kicking ass right off the start. Having said that, Volt looses a lot of playability late game due to him being kinda weak.
I have brought many people to Warframe and the number one issue I keep seeing is that nearly everyone chooses Excalibur, and nearly everyone gets caught up with guns or melee, and forgets/ignores abilities. It's easy early game, but hurts their development for mid game. Volt and Mag would be a better way to push them into versatile thinking.
@@lookalike4805 there’s a night and day difference between being pushed to blast through missions in a rush to endgame, than to encourage players to become better by giving them more challenging options. If more people understood that, they’d be a lot happier players, and possibly even have better video games. Of all the online games I've played over the decades, Warframe is one of the better ones.
Personally I think at this point they should either rotate the starting frames with some of the other frames or at least add 1 or 2 more frames to the starting choices. I always thought Saryn would be a decent frame for someone starting the game given her stats.
Blacky a video on getting Arcanes and Arcon Shards would be appreciated. There kinda gate kept because when your that far in the game people just assume you know how to get them already.
Arcanes can drop from tons of places, depending on what type you’re looking for. Eidelons, acolytes, thrax, murmur, open world vendors, void angels drop arcanes. There’s prob a few I missed but they’re everywhere lol. Archon shards are from weekly archon hunt, netracells, and khals garrison, which are all unlocked after finishing the new war (apart from Acrithis in duviri which only needs leveled up opportunity intrinsics)
Arcanes I get like mods nowadays, and if I’m ever after a specific one (and don’t know where to farm it) I look it up on the wiki. That is to say you’ll probably get a bunch passively through playing the game. As for archon shards, there are weapons and frames listed forth at are boosted for each hunt - either using those or your best builds tends to work
Excalibur. Dynamic, athletic, and a perfect aggressive skill set with room for progression. The description given in this video is limited. You won't have any "synergies " when you start this game. First you have to get through the star chart first. Eventually you'll want to be good with hiim. The "Umbra" version has a unique skill that no other Warframe has. Excalibur is the original starter, and a direct carryover from "Dark Sector", which was pretty much a prequel. You can always use your extra (earned) Excal later, to feed to the Helminth. By the time you get to Eidolons, you'll already have Volt.
It took a while after I started hunting Eidolons until I got in a clan with access to Volt. That said, I wasn’t actively searching for clans and still haven’t gotten the blueprints to this day, but all that to say that you can’t assume someone will 100% have something at a specific point unless it’s a guaranteed story item!

Volt wasn't that hard to research tbh, but I guess it entirely depended on your clan at the time

My friends forced me to pick mag but I'm glad they did cause I really enjoy the playstyle. I am a good 150 hours and MR11 and I love playing caster frames.
Regarding the two versions of Excalibur... I don't recommend giving up the basic version. Keep both as they are different enough given mod polarities. Let Excal regular follow the usual path, and the Umbra, follow the Umbral path. (If you know what I mean. 😉👍)

I hope someone sees this comment. Mag is the best. Pull is the perfect level 1 ability. Long range aoe damage that clears everything in front of you. 2nd ability is essentially a big damage buff to melt tough single targets. Eventually you will get into ability 3 and 4. Ability 3 if one of the best debuffs in the game. Ability 4 is overshield essentially. But it also does great damage. Mag is the big brain pick. I have all three and mag wins every time.
Volt personally. It helped me understand mechanics needed for the later, more difficult content. Movement in this game is beautiful, Volt promotes the use of it.
But im bias.
I've been a volt main since day 1 of me playing the game. I just find him very versatile. Been using him from start until end game.

Good points. I picked mag in 2013 because magneto is one of my favorite characters. Dropped the game quickly. After being disappointed by mass effect andromedas multiplayer (i played countless hours of me3s multiplayer) I saw someone in a thread mention warframe as a good alternative to the mass effect multiplayer and i came back in 2016. I struggled with her until post second dream when i could go crazy with her abilities. Frost prime and rhino carried me to the mid game.

@@MHBlacky_ENG Mag's bubble is another specter-killer. I had only trouble with one specter, I don't recall its name, it was dropping the bubble somehow. In most of the cases, enter the room, cast the bubble and enjoy the enemy killing itself with the "little bit" of your help of shooting anything into that direction.
First time playing Warframe, and it seems like mag is the best character for me!
for me excalibur was the best starter... played on playstation years ago when i friend got me into it. when i moved to pc as a solo player i tryed mag.. she was super fun to use in missions but the boss fights was a pain to do on her so i farm excalibur and had no problems. as soon as a got gara unlocked she became my main because of how tanky she was. big skill issue on my side because am not good at shooters. imo if u are not good at shooters go excalibur untill u find a warframe u like.. thats just me tho
If you're trying to be good with your Mastery XP, starting with Volt is a good option because he's the only starter Warframe that needs clan research to get his blueprints.
You have to join a clan to progress anyway. You can't have a railjack if you don't have a dojo. You can't do a bunch of the quests if you don't have a railjack. Plus you'd miss out on a ton of easy resources if you didn't have one. And there's plenty of established clans that will take a new player, so the clan reason shouldn't even be a thought.
But take volt anyway. It's the best starter just because shock is so spammable and long range. Also it homes in on targets around corners and through doors. It's also silent and doesn't break stealth.
@@nathanjohnston9762 You don't need a Dry Dock in a dojo to get a Railjack. You can do it through Relays no problem. (unless they took it out recently)
Volt is always my favorite starter, but mag is a pretty decent starter as well. Especially when as a new player i didnt get a new frame UNTIL the sacrifice. I am now L3

I chose Volt and I haven't regretted it a single time. I don't use him that much anymore (aside from some specific game modes), but it's definitely great to have him in your arsenal.
Mag is a great warframe that certainly requires some skill to play well. I wouldn't say I'm an expert, but I enjoy playing with her quite a bit.
Excalibur is honestly one of my least favourite warframes. I don't' think I ever used him after leveling him up to MR30. His improved version is a bit more fun to use, but, when it comes to melee-centered warframes, I prefer the others (for example, Garuda).
I'm glad you're keeping your beginner guide up-to-date. They really helped me when I started the game. And I hope they will keep on helping a lot of people get into this gem of a game. :)

I can totally see what you mean. Excal can do Steel Path later on (as can everyone else) but you are right in that there are objectively better melee options.
I'm also hoping I can get a bit more into Volt and Mag this year. Especially Mag is way up on my to do list ^^

I picked Excalibur Because back then I knew nothing about the Game and saw his name and went “Oh Sweet a Swordsman!” But yeah..still have that same Excalibur in my box as I roll around mostly in Umbra and Nidus Prime now..But certainly have lots of good memories of Excalibur through the years.

After a certain point
So, you won't need regular Ex
Mag is easy, buy or farm
And you can get Rhino easy enough too if you need something tankier

for me volt is best because of his versatility early on
and plus mag and excal are from planets while volt is from clans

I'd recommend Volt. Shock costs very little to cast and takes out 6 enemies from a ridiculous distance until later on. You can spam it forever. It doesn't trigger enemy aggro if you're in stealth. The speed buff is useful for the whole game, and will save a lot of time getting to extraction. Excalibur is boring (and I didn't get to choose my starter because my account is OLD, so I was suck with it for a long time), and mag doesn't have the versatility or energy efficiency that volt has. Volt is the best starter mechanically. Excalibur is for people who want to slide attack all the time. Mag is an excellent caster but requires mid game mods to work properly.

Making a new account for iOS soon. I love the idea of Excalibur, a fast moving space knight that slashes everything with swords, but his base appearance is VERY meh. It’s a latex suit with a nose horn. Umbra looks amazing though, looking like an actual knight.
Mag has a better appearance. I really hope that Pull and Crush can carry me through, as those actually look cool.
Edit: Mag is very forgiving if you dislike shooters, or like but royally suck at them.
Pull yoinks everything that’s on screen over to your melee range. Pull, walk forward, slash. Easy. No real aiming necessary.
Magnetize helps the shooter haters too. It’s hard to shoot a skinny little dude, throw a bubble onto him, and now it’s FAR easier to shoot a bubble. It’s gun play without the aiming.
So that’s one more thing to consider.
Excal:
Pros : Simple to play and understand
Cons : Exalted is the only started channeled ability, and one thing newer players absolutely suffer from energy economy, and supporting a constant drain is rough. Also the EB requires its own resources in mods and possibly Forma. Again straining new players even more. Also while Excal can blind (most) things at short range, thats about it for his defensive abiities so he can be rough from a survival standpoint.
Volt:
Pros : He's also pretty basic to understand. And he has a lot more versatility then Excal.
Cons : He's billed as the damage dealer and he's not actually great at that, especially early on for various reasons. A newer player will definitely run out of energy chasing this ghost idea of a nuking Volt rather then a support frame.
Mag:
Pros : Mag is the only one of the three that can heal. She also is the only one that has a counter for shields and armor which will become important as a mid-game starts to set in.
Cons : Also very energy hungry. And her abilities are kind of complex to understand and/or described poorly.
If a new player does their research, and knows what to trade for to do an energy build… Excal’s energy problem basically goes away.
I’d prefer the slow drain over a single cast taking away larger chunks of energy.
I gain energy by merely existing with my build. 😂
Excalibur's simplicity is exactly why Umbra is the only Frame I really use, aside from Ivara Prime for stealth. The most "complicated" thing I have for him is the Furious Javelin augment, which is pretty damn simple. Use Radial Javelin, more enemies hit the more attack boost you get for a short duration. Simple yet brutally effective. Other than that I basically never use any other Frames. I will collect the Primes, but I will never use them.
As long as you're enjoying, that's perfectly fine ^^
The Radial Javelin Augment is good indeed but I left it out in this vid because people just starting will take quite some time to get Augments xD
@@MHBlacky_ENG i know, and that's entirely fair, it's just an example of him still being mostly simple even in late game, with a few augments being exceptions that require slightly more thought than others. And it's not like I bother with Steel Path, so I'm not really forced to push too far beyond where I'm currently at in power for the time being. I'm mostly just enjoying the story as new bits of it release, and occasionally doing light grinding for Focus, as i do want to eventually max them all out and get each one's banner from Represent.

In my opinion volt is the best starter when you wanna feel like a strong character
the volt speed feels very nice even with just some beginner mods
The shield gives a noticable damage buff and with the change that it doenst drain energy when carrying anymore just makes it a good ability to start with
And the ult while not being very strong without the right build it still nukes normal starchart enemies that a beginner should face so up to lvl 30s and most importantly it makes you feel badass because lightning=cool
Yes, his kit has a lot of value for new players already even without any modding ^^
Talking about Deimos or whatever, is one of the bosses that i got to play against alone as no one joined and the mission failed when he had 1/4 hp left. I noticed that there are some issues with damage scaling. Character is maxed, weapons are maxed, have all the mods available installed, i haven't upgraded any but some that i got are already upgraded, just that i don't have enough for all weapons or too many for some and can't install all of them because of the limit. In any case being part of road to uncovering systems so kind of seems part of the natural path of progression, you should get items from traversing that path that are good enough to let you go further. And to top it off, the bosses have invulnerability times and specific hit zones. Like is not bad enough your character is too weak damage wise, you have a lot of down time too. Making the battle take a lot of time and in some cases the game kick you out and mission fail. So far my beginner experience makes me think that this is a bad game even though i'm pleasantly surprised by how it looks and how the character moves and whatnot.
that boss fight gave me nightmares (mufasa al ana grrr) but it wasnt hard at all it was just scary and annoying
Biggest takeaway here is just to pick how you want to play
as a excalibur main, I actually really enjoy his first ability lol, also, for the junctions, i found it easy to suspend them in the air by spamming slam attacks, so that might help others that dont pick excalibur :D

the sole reason why I choose volt as my starter is the fact from his kit I could
1.shoot lighting (super helpful in early game since it barely takes energy) 2.speed cuz speed
3.shield has saved me alot of times and it's kinda fun to pick it up and place it anywhere 4.about to die? why not die with everyone? (i usually only spam discharge when I'm getting jumped by a horde cuz it's just fun)

Back in the day I picked Excalibur. Still have him. Wanted Volt badly, but back then starters were Excalibur-Mag-Loki. Excalibur sounded most universal, Mag sounded too magicky, Loki rogue-ish. It kinda worked. I loved Umbra, but I got him after I returned to the game after some years, so I did not play him as much.

Edit: I did it. After the quest step: raid the corpus resourche caches' you get the mod for free. And it isn't broken anymore since DE removed gaining broken mods. So yes, you don't have to farm it from Lephantis anymore.
5:23 wait, people have problems beating specters? This either means they don’t know what mods are, or they’re moving way too fast. The only time I have lost to a specter was when I forgot to take off the dragon keys after vault-hunting

It would have been interesting if you had made a comparison of the way those warframes avoid bullets. Excalibur blinds enemies so they don't shoot at him, Volt creates the shield and Mag can hold 2 to do that and also absorbs all the bullets she can and returns them to the enemy
Yeah I used to use the Hold Version Of Magnetize when I Restarted Warframe.... It's Useless.... The Tap Version is Better.

Volt speed and shield. Tank + agility in one. Late game damage god and his passive is completely useless late game but early game damage god. He’ll fall off slightly in mid game but who cares. Yes I’m biased.

Yes, her 1st, 2nd, and 3rd ability will outright kill most things for the first half of the star chart, and her 2nd will trivialize every junction. Honestly the game isn't very hard. Eventually you will have to play some other frames though to level up your mastery rank. But you can just max them out quickly for the XP and swap back

I picked mag, honestly a mistake. My experience was a serious cripple early game... Yes I know mag is an Atier Frame, but she is not new player friendly.
It might vary from player to player. Having a 2nd ability with 2 casting modes might be confusing but I actually found her incredibly easy to use. I've been playing since late december last year, I have 9 frames now but she remains my fav.

Starting, Its always Volt. Volt is great early game, while the other 2 don't really shine until after you established yourself. Volts first ability will take out large crowds of enemies with 1 hit without it being buffed up. The other 2 until they get some good mods are going to be slow. Volt is fast, and starts kicking ass right off the start. Having said that, Volt looses a lot of playability late game due to him being kinda weak.
I chose Excalibur because swords
I have brought many people to Warframe and the number one issue I keep seeing is that nearly everyone chooses Excalibur, and nearly everyone gets caught up with guns or melee, and forgets/ignores abilities. It's easy early game, but hurts their development for mid game. Volt and Mag would be a better way to push them into versatile thinking.
Some people don't like being Pushed... Actually most people don't like it. 😳
@@lookalike4805 there’s a night and day difference between being pushed to blast through missions in a rush to endgame, than to encourage players to become better by giving them more challenging options. If more people understood that, they’d be a lot happier players, and possibly even have better video games. Of all the online games I've played over the decades, Warframe is one of the better ones.

Personally I think at this point they should either rotate the starting frames with some of the other frames or at least add 1 or 2 more frames to the starting choices. I always thought Saryn would be a decent frame for someone starting the game given her stats.

Blacky a video on getting Arcanes and Arcon Shards would be appreciated. There kinda gate kept because when your that far in the game people just assume you know how to get them already.
Arcanes can drop from tons of places, depending on what type you’re looking for. Eidelons, acolytes, thrax, murmur, open world vendors, void angels drop arcanes. There’s prob a few I missed but they’re everywhere lol. Archon shards are from weekly archon hunt, netracells, and khals garrison, which are all unlocked after finishing the new war (apart from Acrithis in duviri which only needs leveled up opportunity intrinsics)
Arcanes I get like mods nowadays, and if I’m ever after a specific one (and don’t know where to farm it) I look it up on the wiki. That is to say you’ll probably get a bunch passively through playing the game.
As for archon shards, there are weapons and frames listed forth at are boosted for each hunt - either using those or your best builds tends to work
Excalibur. Dynamic, athletic, and a perfect aggressive skill set with room for progression. The description given in this video is limited. You won't have any "synergies " when you start this game. First you have to get through the star chart first. Eventually you'll want to be good with hiim. The "Umbra" version has a unique skill that no other Warframe has. Excalibur is the original starter, and a direct carryover from "Dark Sector", which was pretty much a prequel. You can always use your extra (earned) Excal later, to feed to the Helminth.
By the time you get to Eidolons, you'll already have Volt.
It took a while after I started hunting Eidolons until I got in a clan with access to Volt. That said, I wasn’t actively searching for clans and still haven’t gotten the blueprints to this day, but all that to say that you can’t assume someone will 100% have something at a specific point unless it’s a guaranteed story item!
