Kudos for giving Super Burger Time & Ice Cream Factory another go :-) Truth is that you're in the majority because they're not universally loved games and I have been know to like the jankier side of games. Gutted for you about the Namco 2 Collection. Have you tried to force an update from the settings menu on your VS or EXP? Failing that CEX had them in stock online for £40. Not cheap but a solution nonetheless. As for the Alpha, the best thing about it is the 4:3 aspect ratio Blaze decided to go with. It actually gives you a larger usable screen for retro games and TATE mode games fill the screen better as well. I may pick one up down the line, especially if they release a vanilla one with no included games and Evercade branding for maybe a bit cheaper ;-) Keep up the awesome work Steve and enjoy your Alpha :-)
@jayme69 oh 40 pounds is totally doable i was worried it was as high as some others I'd seen. I may get a couple at the price. Thanks for the info. Yeah in built games are okay but nothing to scream i want. But infinitely more interesting to me than 6 street fighter games haha. I'm sure they'll be a redo down the road to grab without the games like the exp has.
So sorry to hear about your dead Namco 2 cart, mate! The poor quality of cartridges is my single biggest issue with Evercade. I’ve heard from several other people that the carts stopped working for no reason. This should not be. The whole reason behind collecting carts is being able to play whenever. Not until they break. On a positive note, glad you’re enjoying the Alpha! I got my carts yesterday and couldn’t help myself from trying Data East 2. So far I love it! Best kind of weird and wonderful, Trio The Punch is as bonkers as I hoped! And just saw the news about SNK on Evercade. That’ll be good!
First real time I've ever had an issue with carts. I'm not bothered, I'll get another. The Alpha defo did it 🤣 i have £80 playstation games buggering up every other week and constantly needing patches. This is small fry compared. I think it's just an issue with video games in general. Sony are doing much worse in my opinion than evercade are, with their vile money grabbing practises. It's a none issue in the end, mate.
You are very forgiving 😁I am comparing with all the rest of my video game collection. Not a single cart has died on me, and the only issues I´ve had with CD:s and DVD:s are the console´s laser. I know Evercade uses a flash memory, different to classic carts. Flash memory is more fragile, and that doesn´t stop me from worrying about Evercade carts breaking 😥
@bjornh1527 I don't know about forgiving i think we just get to the age we're nothing really matters 🤣 as long as my dog is in good health and I can get up most mornings still, everything else is bonus 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@bjornh1527 sometimes I might over look things though because of it. So you are right. I think im more angry with myself as I normally get 2nd copies of legacy carts like I always got 2nd copies of psone discs I adored as they got older in case one got two scratched and I couldnt play one of my beloved squaresoft games - to this day they all still work thankfully. But I'm always under no illusion that my collection will eventually die. The amount of times I've had to replace doctor who vhs / DvD / Blu rays is shocking 🤣 (that's my biggest obsession and pride collection - I must have every single released episode)
@CrowContinuum 🤣 hey Crow. I can mostly get away with in game footage for vids. But occasionally things like this crop up and I'm like shite, how am I going to do this 🤣
Looks like you've had a blast with your Alpha! That screen looks quite vivid. Good times!
@kenlecuyer6378 the screen is glorious. The games look fantastic. It's just the right size too.
Delighted for you Steve.
@@talesfromthejundlandwastes5498 cheers tales 😁

The alpha is tempting, but where to store it?
@genejoke8538 gene it's been my biggest problem 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Are you kidding? I want to see the contents of your kitchen.
